“One day, Manaka Junpei walks to the roof of his school and encounters a beautiful girl falling down from above him and accidentally exposing her strawberry panties. The embarrassed girl runs away before Junpei can find out whom she is. He wishes to become a filmmaker, and this whole experienced seemed like it would make the perfect scene in a movie. And so he goes on a search for the girl with the strawberry panties in order to reenact it all on film. But he will soon discover that finding that one girl will not be that easy”
OP:”Shine of Voice” by dream. So many poses it’s hard to keep track! … and a nice song that compliments the visuals to boot. I’ve always did like dream’s style of music.
ED: “IKE IKE” by HINOIチーム. Attack of the chibis! … and why does this sound like the Venga Boys “We Like to Party.” That six-flags dude creeps me out T_T
My Review:
For someone who’s been following the manga, I have to say that I’m somewhat satisfied with the finished product^^. Some of my biggest concerns before watching the first ep was the artstyle. Now I realize that it’s close to impossible to duplicate the same designs as the ones mangaka Kawashita-sensei created, especially with the use to today’s digital animation. But Madhouse managed to pull it off, at least this fan believes so. Even some of the ‘raunchy’ moments from the manga were left intact.
So far introduced into the series are Junpei (inspiring filmmaker), Tougou (meganekko), and Tsukasa (seductive blonde). Highlights include:
- Junpei ‘pull-ups’ confession to Tsukasa… Guess it was enough to impress her >_>
- Junpei: “Did you know that locust have an additional petal on their abdomen?”
- Tougou’s clumsy persona reveals more than what Junpei first noticed… She was the girl with the ichigo pantsu
Looking forward to the next ep!
