  • OP: “Minami Kaze (South Wind)” by Shimokawa Mikuni

ED: “Mou ichido Kimi ni Aitai” by Shimokawa Mikuni

Sorry, but it’s just too difficult to put in words just how amazing this new Full Metal Panic! series is. Kyoto Animation (the production team responsible for FUMOFFU) is back with yet another stunning show filled with action, drama, and a skillful musical score to boot. This story continues from where the first Full Metal Panic! series leaves off, (hence the title “The Second Raid). Like many of its fans know, it is based of the FMP! novel “The End of Day by Day.”

What amazes me is that Mikuni Shimowaka returned to sing both the OP and ED once again! … Like always, she put out another excellent song that just graces the ear drums of any fan. This first episode delivers, and I mean delivers HARD! We see Sousuke and his fellow comrades right away thrust straight into battle with some real nail-biting moments. The only thing I found disappointing was the lack of screen time towards the other characters we know and love, (Chidori and Tessa). If you’ve already seen the first FMP! installment, do not miss this next one! This is definitely on my “must-watch” list!

    Overall Rating: A+
