Not the kind of email message you want to wake up to in the early morning…
- “With the recent huge increases in bandwidth and disk space, we have noticed a number of customers using their accounts to transfer rather large media files. This, in itself, is absolutely fine! However, as it has become more feasible to do so, some customers have also begun using their accounts as a means to distribute unlicensed copyright content in violation of US and international copyright laws. Such content often includes commercial software, music files (ie. MP3s), movies, anime (licensed for US distribution or not), etc. As a reminder, please note that the distribution of unlicensed copyrighted content in conjunction with your DH account is strictly against our Terms of Service, and can result in account disablement – without refund or warning. Not only that, but such activity is illegal and can result in a fair bit of legal trouble! We will be cracking down on such unlicensed distribution in the near future, so we ask that you go through your accounts as soon as possible.”
- EDIT -
Please disregard this last post as I came up with a solution to the above issue. Sorry to have worried any of you.
- EDIT 2 -
Note: For those of you who sent in their requests prior to this notice, a link to your song has been sent. However, I was just informed that the links that were sent are in fact invalid. Please be patient as we’ll have your request available over at the sidebar as soon as we can.
