The new 2-hour “Densha Otoko” live-drama special begins Saturday, September 23rd at 9pm. Will Densha pop the big question? Mark your calendars.

As mentioned in a previous entry, the new IT millionaire rival for Densha will be played by Kitamura Kazuki. One of the settings takes place in Tahiti, where they’re on the hunt for the Black Pearl of Destiny. The story itself revolves around the conflict set by Saori’s grandfather, who pays a visit and sets an “Omiai” for her, (sort of like a loose version of an arranged marriage.)

Also would like to point out, there’s a new preview, complete with story synopsis on the official website. There’s also a new article from Fuji TV’s webpage concerning the upcoming special. キター!!
