Anime Related:
- On sale today are both the new Negima Haru (Spring) OVA and
Ichigo Mashimaro OVA. Update: The OVA to Ichigo Mashimaro has been delayed. For how long? I’m not exactly sure. Several sources say until 2007… Anyway, speaking of Negima, the upcoming Summer OVA is scheduled for release on 11/22. Catch a glimpse of the DVD cover here.
- As mentioned on our Random Notes area, Takeshi Fujishiro’s manga Nagasarete Airantou will be animated in Spring ’07 — this according to ComiPress. For a quick synopsis…
From Manganews:
“Touhouin Ikuto runs away from home at the age of 14 and jumps onboard a ship. He falls off into the ocean and drifts for 5 days until he is swept up in an storm. He wakes up on Airantou, an isolated island inhabited, coincidentally, by girls roughly his age who have never seen a boy before. After being thwarted in his attempt to escape by the fierce whirlpools that surround the island, he decides to accept his fate and remain. One boy to an island of girls? Let the fighting — err, I mean fun, begin!”
- It also seems that Tetsuko no Tabi, a manga serialized in seinen manga magazine IKKI will be receiving the anime treatment as well. You can find what the series is all about by going here — scroll down till you see “Tetsuko no Tabi”.
- Some new info regarding Harutoshi Fukui’s upcoming Gundam novel has now been revealed in the latest issue of Gundam Ace. “Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn” is the present title. The story takes place in the Universal Century timeline. According to Gunota Headlines, the next issue will have details on the characters themselves.
- A site has turned up out of nowhere promoting these two new animated films: “Kouchuu Ouja Mushi King” and “Oshare Majo Love and Berry“.
- Bad news for fans of the Disgaea anime. Turns out that Geneon has cancelled any hopes for a limited-edition series collector’s box. And if that wasn’t depressing enough, volume 1 of the DVD release has been delayed from December 19, 2006, to January 9, 2007.
- Uh-uh. I’m not going to leave our Disgaea fans out on a sour note like that. Because look at what’s coming out soon:

Now my Lik-Sang lanyard key ring will forever be a treasured memory T_T
- Oh this story is just getting sweeter by the minute. Just a few hours ago, Sony had this to say in their defense, and I quote…
“Lik-Sang’s in full-on, infant-style pout mode and experiencing nothing more than sour grapes. They (Lik-Sang) did not contest this case (i.e. they did not turn up and therefore incurred no legal costs). We have been awarded substantial costs against Lik-Sang which have not been paid. We would therefore strongly deny that our actions have had anything to do with this website closing.”
- The Diamond and Pearl glitch. Well it seems Nintendo has finally acknowledged the serious glitch that could in fact corrupt your game save file. Ouch. However I am the curious type so I guess I’ll end up screwing myself later ;P Screens [1], [2].

- New Tommy heavenly6 single announced. The track “I LOVE CHRISTMAS” is set to be released 12/06. Yes, just in time for the holidays. A limited edition copy is also to be expected. The song will also be used as the closing theme to the upcoming NTV drama Kayou Gold.
- The next Ajikan single will be “Aruru Machi no Gunjou”. The song is said to be the theme to the soon-to-be-released animated movie, Tekkon Kinkreet. Release date: 12/23.
