Phenie:
That page is by an anime blogger called DarkMirage. He gives lulz.

Pants:
Well, yeah, I can understand the position of supporting the US anime industry, but I have more stringent standards about things and really disagree with the handling of tons of anime and manga releases. As for ANN in general, I just sort of hate the sort of blind support they give to an industry that isn't trying very hard. This new Haruhi move is a good something... you know?! Something that doesn't ignore what the series was, but I sort of see at as the industry exception rather than the rule. While I do support the idea of bringing anime over, it should be with some base rules that respect the original or not at all. If you have to edit it to make meager sales in the first place, then there is no market. But there is a market, they just need to stop trying to extend it to every idiot in the US with a wallet. Booooo. OK! BACK TO MY WAFFLES@!

Okay, thanks. That helped a lot at understanding this a bit more... Just to say, I'm not really on anyone's side here. I did relay what you said, but tried to be as neutral as possible.

And even though I do have a reputation on the ANN forum (mainly for being a strong moe and loli supporter, something which many of the users and staff there despise), I don't really consider myself an Amerifan... But I DO support the US anime industry very strongly. And I just as much buy imported products, watch fansubs, and non-US industry supportive stuff too.
