A newly launched feature off the Sky Girls’ official website, referred to as the “Road to Sky Girls,” indicate a good chance for a future television series. On August 25th, 2006, a 30-minute one part OVA, by Konami and animation studio J.C. STAFF, was originally released to the public. Director Yoshiaki Iwasaki was on hand for the project.
It has been widely believed for sometime, especially by the staff, that production for the OVA only served as an introductory overview for a possible TV Sky Girls series.

Interesting. I look forward to hearing more about this series, it looks cool. Course, it’s hard to go wrong with hot girls and mecha.
e_e”….they have sorta like a gundam wing - mahou - fighter girl thing going on there.
Somehow, I had a feeling that Sky Girls could become a TV series- Girls with mecha.
Anyway, I’ll wait to heard more information about it and decided to watch it or not.
Well, the same thing happened with Akazukin(First OVA, then TV series), so is not a big surprise that they actually decided to do the same with Sky Girls.
I really hope it becomes a TV series. Lolis and robots .. what more could you want? xD
This is interesting. Nanoha had pseudo(?)yuri pinku-death-ray mahou shoujo, and Rocket Girls had oldschool mechamusume. It’s almost like watching Bubblegum Crisis. With loli. -_-
loli = LOL XD
[…] According to Moetron, it looks like J.C. Staff will be pumping out (sexual innuendo) a possible TV series for Sky Girls. This seems like an obvious move to anyone who saw the OVA. I sure hope it pans out. […]
Yay, I want to see more of the moe grey-haired smart girl.
