Yes! プリキュア5 – 06 ｢Pretty Cure 5, All Assembled!｣

Last week, Bunbee of “The Nightmares” had gotten tired of having his subordinates fail in capturing the Dream Collet; so this time around he was determined to get the job done on his own. While the girls were at the gazebo in Karen’s garden, Bunbee showed up unexpectedly and quickly snatched the Pinky that Komachi was just about ready to catch. Shortly after, all the girls transformed into Pretty Cure, except for Karen. The four fought against Bunbee and his newly summoned Kowainaa. Just then a sparkling butterfly appeared before our blue-haired student council president. She extended her hand and the fluttering insect landed on her wrist. It was then that Karen noticed how, at the end of every situation, it’s never solved right unless she does it herself. And with that thought, the butterfly tried to attach itself to Karen’s wrist, but immediately vanished without a trace. She was shocked as to why she couldn’t do it. Dream, Lemonade, Rouge, and Mint took care of the Kowainaa on their own, however, Bunbee got away with stealing a Pinky. The day ended with Karen telling the girls to never again ask her to be in their group. But Nozomi, as the kind of person she is, insisted in having Karen become the 5th and final member of Pretty Cure — no matter how many times she would have to ask.

This week, we got to meet the “PreCure of Intelligence.” Nozomi chased after Karen and told her that she didn’t believe a girl who can deeply love her parents as much as Karen can’t become PreCure. Later, after having been down from the last try, Karen was finally able to obtain a Pinky Catch of her own and transform into Cure Aqua — she had built the courage to stand up and to sincerely want to come to the aid of her newfound friends. Now with Round II underway — a match against Bunbee and his Pinky Kowainaa (totally unexpected) — the five PreCure heroines were at last all gathered at the scene — Yes! PreCure 5!

So yeah, this was the one moment fans have been waiting for. Now with all five PreCure members together, they can finally open the Dream Collet and allow Nuts, the protector of the item, to finally awaken and help out the team — he’s been asleep in there after having been injured by The Nightmares. I must say I am really enjoying this show a lot more than I expected to — which is a good thing of course. I’m sure viewers at this point have their one favourite Cure member right?… I myself have grown particularly fond of Komachi/Cure Mint — there’s just something about her that I like I guess; also having a talent like Nagano Ai to play the role helps too :P Anyway, love the show. Don’t have any real issues with it — although I am curious as to whether or not the producers will make an effort in creating a henshin sequence with all the girls in it; five individual transformation banks can be quite time-consuming. But the story is moving along quite nicely indeed :D
