出ましたっ！パワパフガールズZ – 46 ｢Desperate Situation! Girls VS. Kare: Parts I & II｣

Ep45 Commentary:

So the first half had a freaky-looking frog prince, who was affected by the black light, who kept asking for kisses. He wanted nothing more than to return to his former-self. Later on, as the episode slowly turned into a musical, Momoko thought that maybe by kissing him, he’ll turn into a handsome prince. This was her fate to marry such a person, or so she thought. After giving it some thought, she prepared herself, but not without the Professor getting in her way. Finally she planted one right on the him, but nothing happened. Later his “Iboko” came by, kissed him, and he turned back to normal. Momoko had wasted her first kiss for nothing :P

Second half had Sakurako visiting Souichirou at the university he attends — I thought he was still in highschool! After her bus got there, she walked around the campus and noticed just how different Souichirou’s world was to hers. Everywhere she turned, she saw students emitting a radiant glow of pride and intelligence. When she finally got near to where Souichirou was, she witnessed a woman by the name of Kinosaki-sensei asking if he was going to have any regrets — Sakurako jumped to the conclusion that the two were talking about each other. Souichirou responded by telling her that no he wouldn’t because he had made up his mind on the decision. Sakurako at that point had heard enough and ran away. Souichirou ran after her.

Seeing as how low Sakurako felt at that moment, she puts on her lipstick and turns into Sedusa. It was at that point where Souichirou discovers Sakurako’s hidden secret. Sedusa then transforms into a clone of Kinosaki-sensei. The PPGZ were then called to the scene because it seemed that “Kinosaki” was running wild there. Sedusa/Kinosaki finally confronts Souichirou. Once the PPGZ arrived to save him in time, Souichirou finds out that Sakurako had misunderstood the converstation she overheard between him and Kinosaki. The girls were ready to attack Sedusay bu Souichirou stood in their way because he didn’t want them to hurt her, as he knew that Sedusa was Sakurako in reality. After being asked by Sedusa who he loved the most, Sakurako or her, the two ended up exchanging a series of words and a whole dramatic scene was delivered to the viewer — quite emotional actually. Souichirou makes it clear that he loves her, monster or not, and that he would always protect her. Just then Sedusa faints and falls off the rooftop, but not before Souichirou takes her hand and falls with her. The two are then saved by Bubbles’ “Balloon Catcher.” The episode ends with the two being more closer than ever — he even mentions a “proposal” after he finishes his research. Afterwards another girl looking for directions to the library stops by the Kintokidou store and Sakurako, in a jealous fit, runs to the backroom to apply her lipstick again. She is stopped immediately by the girls :P

Judging from the title, I’d say this is the last we’ll be seeing of Sedusa — but you can never be too sure…

I know the TVB broadcast episode 46 at 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. in the TVB television programme named ‘After School ICU’ on 14 May, 2008 (Wednesday) which was 2 days after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake.

I have watched both Japanese and Chinese version of this episode today.

Let's talk about episode 46 part 1:

Kare has returned to Tokyo City. He feels modern Tokyo City is warmer than Edo before because of the progressing of the greenhouse effect. He starts to remember what were they called again? They’re like Ooedo Chakichaki Girls. He first guesses it is Pakupaku Girl X. It is wrong. He guesses the second time; this time is Pakapaka Girls Y. Wrong again. He guesses Powerpuff Girls Z. This time is correct. He got to deal with those girls. He finds a building named Happongi Hills to treat as a home for him. He flies towards the building like a tornado and use his eye sight to make the president and his assistance to lend the room for him to live. Kare discover a delicious looking steak on the table but he realize he something he has to do first. He uses his black particles to go to eliminate Powerpuff Girls Z. Flash to the girls, Momoko screams because she forgets her lunchbox, pencil, eraser or her textbook and tells Miyako and Kaoru to go on ahead to the lab. As she cross the road to the other side, Kare’s black particles turns all the traffic lights as well as the pedestrian light to blue. This resulted in a traffic accident. Luckily, Momoko has already crossed the road. In fact, she wants to ask to date with a boy by introducing her name and her school she is studying. The boy than tells her she has a girlfriend. Kaoru calls the police to the accident site. Kaoru thinks it will be congested in that corner so she will go around. The black particles follow Kaoru and make her to the danger by lifting the warning sign of the sewage work sites and cover the manhole but saved by a worker. How about Miyako, she walks past a construction site, where the black particles infected a crane in the work site. The particles make the crane to turn to the right in order to hurt Miyako. She sees a kitten and runs towards it. The rope of the crane snaps and a construction bar falls towards the ground. Luckily Miyako is just one second away from being injured. It’s a repeat of the OPPG episode named ‘Los Dos Mojos’ when Mojo Jojo use his robot to snap a construction bar to hurt the girls. Bubbles didn’t avoid it and she got knocked by it. In the PPGZ episode, Miyako is just being saved by a kitten. Kare thinks the girls are impervious to bad luck. He decides to make the black particles to go once more. This time is directly damage their weak points by infecting the boy Momoko has introduced to, Miyako’s doll Octi and Tokio Matsubara’s / Kaoru’s dad’s mask respectively. The girls say goodbye to each other and they go home. Suddenly, the boy falls in love with Momoko and wants her to go have tea. Next, the lab receives warning from Miyako and Kaoru. Miyako tells the Utonium family all her dresses are badly damaged and Kaoru tells the Utonium family that her dad told her to be more girly by forces her to wear skirt. What’s more, if Kaoru says “ore”, her allowance will go down by 100 yen. Peach detects the black aura are coming out of the mask and Octi. The Utonium family goes prepare the Chemical Z beam. Professor knows something like this would happen, so he prepared the portable Chemical Z beam and hurry to take action. Kaoru takes the mask while his father is bathing. Miyako takes her Octi to arrive outside Kaoru’s home. Professor use the portable Chemical Z beam to return the two items back to normal. It obvious that Kare’s black particles are behind it. Miyako thinks Momoko must be a victim of the black particles. So Miyako, Kaoru and the Utonium family are hurried to Kintokidou. The Professor tells Ken, Peach, Miyako and Kaoru to take action by subdue the boy. The Professor uses the portable Chemical Z beam to return the boy back to normal. The boy doesn’t like the girls with anko jams around their mouths. Momoko cries as the boy leaves. Kaoru tells Momoko Kare was behind it all. Ken is thinking Kare is appearing so frequently. Professor thinks Kare is nearby.

Now let’s turn to part 2 of episode 46:

Kare enters the lab by making himself like a drill. He sees the lab is a mess and no defences at all. He decides to steal the Chemical Z by using his black particles to unlock the safe. After that he destroys one of the machines in the lab which results in an explosion that make Professor to topples down the chair and makes Ken awake. Professor use the portable Chemical Z beam to shoot Kare but it’s out of Chemical Z. Kare leaves with a can of Chemical Z so he can rampage like he did in the Edo Era. Kare makes himself like a top in Beyblade series to get rid of Ken, Peach and the Professor. The Professor won’t allow that and he tells Peach to call the girls to take action. The girls transform to PPGZ and take action. Bubbles asks a dog to tell the black tornado that left the lab went. Then she asks a cat and the other dog. At last, a dog directs the girls to Happongi Hills where the tornado disappears. The girls arrive at the site and notice raining something. So they fly to check what happened. It is Kare, he tells the girls finally find him but it’s too late. Kare has poured all the Chemical Z in the can. The girls try to kick his butt. But Kare use his black particles to infect a spider which sit at the bottom of the building. The spider comes to live and jumps to the building. Then it spits web to catch Bubbles and Buttercup but they save by Blossom’s yo-yo attack. Then the girls defeat the spider easily. The spider hits the building and disintegrates. The girls now turn their attention to Kare but they lose sight of him. Kare flies towards the girls and takes their weapons. Kare tells the girls they aren’t using them right. Kare uses Bubbles’ wand to create some electrical balls. Then he uses Buttercup’s hammer to hit one of the balls. The ball flies directly to the girls. The girls get hit, making Bubbles unconscious. Kare then emits the electrical balls again. This time he uses Blossom’s yo-yo to absorb the energy of one of the balls. The yo-yo becomes enlarged and flies towards the girls. Blossom just saves Bubbles and Buttercup on time yet still the girls get hit. Kare added that not even the wand can create an energy ball. The yo-yo can create them too. Kare uses the yo-yo to create an energy ball and use the wand to hit towards the girls. As a result, the girls fly about 200 feet and fall towards the roof of the building. Bubbles and Buttercup start to regain consciousness, as the same time Kare is about to finish the girls off. Blossom uses her ribbon as a boomerang to fly towards Kare in order to get the weapons back. It succeeds and Kare flies about 300 feet to another building. Blossom tells Bubbles and Buttercup to use energy ball to attack Kare. First, Bubbles uses her wand to create dozens of energy ball and passes them to Buttercup. After that, Buttercup uses her hammer to pass to Blossom. The energy balls are absorbed by Blossom’s yo-yo. She feels the power from the energy balls. Then Kare makes himself like a horizontal tornado and flies towards Blossom. Blossom uses ‘Wedding Cake Finish’ to throw her yo-yo which is enlarged towards Kare. The yo-yo closes when Kare is approaching it results with a huge explosion. Blossom thanks Kare to make them developed a new killer attack. Kare says he won’t be beaten by that. As he turns himself into a tornado, the Utonium family arrives to the Happongi Hills along with the portable Chemical Z beam. Professor holds it in order to shoot Kare. Kare still doesn’t get it why the Chemical Z still exists. Professor says predicting the lost of Chemical Z would happen; he splits the Chemical Z up and stored them separately. Kare decides to leave it and he added he will send the girls and the Utonium family to Hell. Kare flies back towards the building after talking to Professor. Ken says Kare is able to whip out an insult. Professor says his unknown power is terrifying. At the end, Blossom forgets about her homework and Buttercup has to return her dad’s mask so they leave in a hurry. Bubbles and the Utonium family giggles and she tells Blossom and Buttercup don’t know when to be afraid.

Let’s turn the attention from the episode to the comment:

Episode 46 is so good. As you know Kare is the best villain ever, he can control not even Octi; he can also control the traffic lights, pedestrian lights and Tokio Matsubara’s mask. If I was the one working in the lab, I would dress like a NTSB/AAIB/ASC investigator to come to Miyako’s home to investigate and examine the damage of her dresses. It is because one of the dresses she has worn in episode 22 to 39 (Refer to http://www.moetron.com/screencaps/powerpuff/cap...) has salad dressing on it. Poor Miyako, but don’t worry. I think your dresses are repairable. You can wash the dresses but it is time consuming. The scene of Bubbles communicating with the animals helps the girls to find Kare. I think Kare can unlock many weapons to make him stronger only. The scene of the girls using energy balls to attack Kare is so awesome. So I think this episode along with episode 51 are the best action scenes just I have posted in Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z – Final Words. As I have mention in that part before, this is one of the best episodes ever because of the energy ball attack. The girls can use this new killer attack in episode 51 when they feel with anger. The Professor is so smart that looks like he learned the lesson of episode 20 because the Chemical Z had been stolen by Mojo Jojo to create the Rowdyruff Boys.

For the above reasons, I will rate episode 46 10/10 stars.

Let's talk about episode 45 part 1:

I think the girls don’t notice the chemicals they put while doing the experiment. The result ends up with an explosion. That makes them like three pieces of charcoal. The scene of the girls use their right foot to hit the Frog Prince makes the frog to hit the wall is so funny. I keep laughing with it. The Frog prince acts good when he performs a musical, the professor joins him is so funny. He acts well when he performs the Frog prince has done. Blossom is weak in acting like a little girl want to. She uses a bottle of eyedrops to make fake tears so the professor will allow her to kiss the frog. It’s like Kaoru had done it in episode 4 before (Refer to http://www.moetron.com/screencaps/powerpuff/cap... and http://www.moetron.com/screencaps/powerpuff/cap...). At episode 45, Blossom’s behaviour is discovered by professor. How come she is not caring about her deportment? I think I need to wear mask before I talk to Momoko.

Next, I talk about part 2 of episode 45:

I think Sakurako wants to attract Souichirou’s attention by transform into Sedusa. Do you remember in episode 8 and 28, Sedusa can transform into different people’s body like Bubbles, Buttercup and Princess etc. Souichirou has witnessed the scene. When I watched both Japanese and Chinese version, I noticed something, the scenes of Souichirou holds Sedusa’s hand and fall towards the ground in slow motion is cut by TVB when I watched the Chinese version. Then I noticed Bubbles says Bubble Poyon when she releases a bubble when I watched the Chinese version. In Japanese version, Bubbles says Balloon Catcher when she releases a bubble. What the heck of the stupid TVB doing? At the end, I see the girls stopped Sakurako for using her lipstick to transform is just like tie up a hijacker on the plane because they don’t want to see Sedusa again.

To summarize episode 45, I think this part 1 is so funny but disgusting because the Frog prince is so funny in acting like a musician. On the other hand, Blossom kisses a frog resulted in swap of millions of microbes. The Momoko’s fans will not give any stars or points in this part. Part 2 is definitely better, because Souichirou can finally see Sakurako in his college. The scene of both of them reunited is so romantic. The scene of the girls stopped Sakurako for using her lipstick is suitable for the end of part 2 because Sedusa is a monster. Looks like the girls don’t want Sedusa to cause trouble again. For the above reasons, I will rate episode 45 8/10 stars.

Oh, snap! I hope a volcanic disaster doesn't occur from now until Saturday. Television in Japan has a tendency not to show television episodes depicting a natural disaster right after one occurs. That means we wouldn't be able to see the series finale to our favorite show! At least, not right away.

I remember when a Pokemon episode featuring Whiscash, a pokemon that causes tsunamis and earthquakes, was to appear on an episode right before something similar happened in Japan. The episode didn't air. Right before that same episode would've aired here in America, a hurricane buries New Orleans. That episode might be cursed.

Anyway, methinks people are too sensitive.

Wow. It's hard to believe that this series is almost ending. The very next episode is going to be the last battle, the final and ultimate episode of PPGZ. Will the girls snatch victory from the brilliant Kare, or will this be a tragic end to a long and beautiful tale?

Here's a tidbit from Wikipedia:
Mount Unzen (jp: 雲仙岳 Unzendake) is an active volcanic complex of several overlapping stratovolcanoes near the city of Shimabara, Nagasaki Prefecture, on the island of Kyūshū, Japan’s southernmost main island.

Well, it was so nice seeing the Chaki Chaki Girls chumming it up with the PPGZ, but I have to say that those Edo chicks are way cuter! I also got the feeling they've been pretty busy in old Edo, showing up that fast when Dynano dropped in and the Edo citizens weren't even frightened by it! I hope they do a CCG spin-off and a chance to do with them what wasn't done with the PPGZ!

After seeing screenshots of episode 51, I have to say this is kind of interesting.

Also the RRBs are in this episode which are not like episode 44 thank you. And the animation in this episode is quite good as well.

But however don't you think is a little too late to learn the errors of their ways and improve it, cause next week is the final episode.

I just picked up the OPPG Season 1 DVD, and I gotta say...whoa.

Several good Episodes are on that disk (Telephonies, Just Another Manic Mojo, Uh Oh Dynamo, The Rowdyruff Boys), along with a few stinkers (Fuzzy Logic, Major Competition, Tough Love, Mime For a Change). I think they switched animators halfway through the episode. The second half had the WORST animation I've ever seen in an anime, you've been warned. Still, the ending made it worth it.

Toei announced a "PreCure 5" movie premiere in November of this year. A PPGZ movie could easily be added to make this a double-feature theatrical event. As for the plot, I could see it being the "trilogy" (50, 51, 52) but re-told as a single high-budget film. Either that or a story featuring an original villain taking place somewhere between Seasons 1 and 2 of the anime series.

It's been said so many times. That there would be 52 episodes was announced right when the series started. It has nothing to do with whether the series was a success or a failure, it was their plan all along.

I would welcome a follow-up series to this. Let's keep our ears to the ground.

Okay, well apparently there's a rumour going around, on several japanese message boards, about a new Powerpuff-related project in the works. This could be a new series, a new game, possibly a movie, or maybe even something to do with the original PPG series. No one knows really. However, an announcement should be made soon if true. Again this is just a rumour. But it does give us hope...

Maybe this won't be the last we'll be seeing of the girls after all ;D

Headnailer! Common sense in any language would tell you any time other the one PPGZ was on would've been better I think! Did Ranma 1/2 or Sailor Moon get such great ratings running at 7 a.m. Saturdays I wonder? Com'on, not all the episodes were THAT bad to sink the ship by itself! I gather CN blindly followed Toei's scheduling ideas instead of its own (usually successful) instincts and got royally burned for it. I'm pretty darn sure it'd been a different story had PPGZ ran afternoons or nights at least in the U.S. Some in the ChakiChaki Girls Yahoo forum think that CN figured that the (then popular) PPGs might swing in Japan too and approached (half-bribed) a lukewarm Toei to create a Jap version, which might partly explain the brilliant scheduling thing. I'd love to chat with PPGZ's artists incognito about how they felt about this (as well as compliment them on a great job!)!

It refers to the Collector's Edition DVD. I don't remember there ever being any commentary by him in them. The only thing I've noticed is that someone mentioned that he enjoys watching it, but that was with the first DVD, so it may not have carried through all the way.

Agree with the notion of the silly/action mix. Certainly this mix was present in OPPG -- it wouldn't be PPG without silly, an anime that's all action woudna been true to the original.

It will be interesting to see how the English dubs work out as far as humor/action balance goes, and if (IF!) my appreciation for the series improves or declines based on the dub.

It will be interesting to look at the series as a complete arc once it's done. Unlike much of the OPPG (which had pretty good continuity besides), PPGZ had multiple series-long story arcs that ran the year: Miyako/Takaaki, Mojo/Keane, Kaoru becomes girlier, Kaoru/Tokio, Sakurako/Souchirou, Himeko/Miko(already evil, no black energy required) Shirogane, and of course Kare's growing threat.

AFA Final Battle goes, I'm expecting Kare to be neutralized, but what remains open is whether the PPGZ will retire, or lose their powers in the process, or remain PPGZ, or some other outcome... (/me hopes for remain PPGZ.)

In spite of the high expectations episode 48 was held to, it still turned out alright. I wasn't disappointed at all. I can't disagree with how it ended, though it was a little strange (I'd like to say more, but for now, my lips are sealed until an entry is up). I don't disagree with the nurses outfits in the next one, either.

But I have to wonder whether all the loose ends will be tied up before the series ends. What will become of RRB and Shirogane Z, or any of the black light monsters? More reasons why I believe it's too early for the series to end. Still, not every anime has the honor of ending gracefully, I just wouldn't mind it happening further down the road.

And also I think that the early promo version is kind of better than the present one.

And don't blame CN, I think you should blame at some of the staff in Toei for making bad animation and crappy storyline for some episodes.

@Umandsf, agreed. Season 1 mostly in the beginning had some pretty boring episodes and stale humor. But Season 2 has plently episodes (like the latest ones) that are really entertaining, with golden moments.

Well, although the show started as a complete and utter disaster, it has gotten significantly better as it went along. The script writers seem to have wanted to make it more serious as it went along, and it did, but not consistently. There were still a few recent episodes that have seemed out of place, but not enough that makes one turn away from it forever.

The old show placed a lot of emphasis on action, because that is what the people liked. However, it later had more focus on the girls' normal, everyday lives around the house. After four seasons of action, I found this change very appealing, because it was something that wasn't heavily focused on and surprising. PPGZ is doing the same thing, but backwards. They spent more time on being silly than serious. By making it serious occasionally, and building up its frequency towards the end, we come to a better appreciation of it, because after being presented with all the sillyness, we look forward to its newer parts, because it is new and unexpected.

PPGZ is a classic and vivid example of the old saying, "Good things come to those who wait."

It was great while it lasted. Then again, they can't make an episode for each OPPG episode, so it would be kind of expected for it to end early....but only after 52 episodes? Jeez...kinda too early.

I'm surprised I haven't said this already, but my favorite moment from this episode is the awesome finishing move performed on Kare, and the music in the background while it happened. Also, Momoko's central role in the attack and her heroism throughout the battle, you can bet I'm eating that right up.

Is it too early for pre-finale speculation? Of course not. I was thinking about the show as a whole earlier today, and I wondered how things would be different if the adult PPGZ shown in the previews for the show before it's debut were the stars instead. Perhaps I'm being greedy, but I think it would be cool if they were used in a series separate from the 52 episodes that currently make up the show. Like a sequel to the current show, where they've just a little older and going to high school. My only hope for such a thing is that they don't make it too serious. The worst thing that can happen is that this show is too far removed from the spirit of the OPPG.

One would also wonder what the villains of the show would be like. Will they mature too? What will they lose in doing so? Would it be best if the maturity be only slight and aesthetic? After all, it only makes sense that all the characters in the show maintain a style that makes sense in relation to one another.

Could this work? I really would like it to.

About the super costumes: since the RRBZ were created from the PPGZ's DNA and Chemical Z, they could be expected to exhibit abilities similar to the girls' and to receive benefits from the suits.

I thought it was decided that the RRB can be mistaken for PPG when wearing their outfits due to a stupefying property of the outfits. After all, Momoko, Miyako, and Kaoru all look distinct and have utterly unique hair styles as well. Had the clothing not had these properties, I'm sure little Kuri-chan would wonder why her sister is flying around fighting monsters.

I'm giddily looking forward to seeing 46! I've quickly grown into a Kare fan while watching this series. I love how he looks in the screenshot with him holding Buttercup's weapon on his shoulder!

And something that might help cheer some up. This isn't for certain it will happen to this show, but I know of other shows that have been ended or canceled and continued later anyway because of so many fans. Maybe that will happen with PPGZ too? Here's hoping anyway.

It's funny how you all think PPGZ ending is the end of the world. I mean, even though I was having fits halfway through Kyougoku Natsuhiko Kousetsu Hyakumonogatari because "only 6 episodes and then it's gonna end!" (that series only had 13 eps) I never actually wanted more episodes. A good ending was enough for me. I'm looking forward to the ending of this series, hoping that it's going to be what it deserves.

I definitely wouldn't mind more PPGZ especially because I think some villains would have deserved more screen time and because it looks like some loose ends aren't going to be tied in the last episodes. For example, Himeko and her relationship with her sister should've been given a bit more thought and development in the series. So if there's going to be a new series, an OAV or a film, I'll check it out for sure.

Well, I wasn't surprise that it will end so soon.

Although PPGZ is a good anime but there are still some worst episodes that screw the series with bad animations, lame plots and more recycled scenes.

The worst one I think is still the episode where the RRBs' second appearance.

Why? Because bad animation. Not enough, how about the RRBs cross dressing.

If that is not enough, how about if I say that that episode makes NO SENSE AT ALL.

If anyone can have super powers while wearing their costumes, than what is the whole point of being expose to the Chemical Z?

Although now the series is improving, but don't you think is a little too late. This is what happens when you don't use your good ideas effecively.

Well, I really hope they make a brand new series cause I saw this anime really has potential of becoming a great anime.

And I am sorry that I have to type a long comment and saying anything that made you guys unhappy and is also a great pleasure being with you guys although I don't know who you guys are.

Admittedly, I was hoping for some more episodes. And that because it's starting to get better and more interesting. Add to that some loose ends and OP teasers.

Lets enjoy the remaining episodes. And hope for a new season or OVA. And we can always have as a closure the manga.

The OPPG only ran for 79 half-hour eps. If PPGZ doesn't go any further than 52, it's been a good run.

It is no longer a rumour. It's true, and even japanese fans even know it to be true. The current series that's airing on TV Tokyo will end its broadcast on June 30th. Let's just hope for another series in the future. If not, then maybe an OVA or a TV Special.

Well, there's always a PPGZ magna to graze thru if there's any selling in the U.S. because I'd be a fan! (Don't forget, Superman didn't begin or end or hinge on that old TV show!)

@Volfera & Raichu: I thought that Him was going to make the guy first be nice to Momoko and then dump her. Worked in a way, since he said really insensitive stuff after being freed from Kare's power. Does anybody know who voiced him? He sounded familiar...

I think it's amusing that Him's ego and vanity doesn't want to smash the trio while they're "mortal". Scare them to death maybe, but not crush them like insects with his full power. In a way, a puff's quickly turning normal might be a quick desperate escape hatch from certain death in a pitched battle with Him. I wonder if the PPGZ writers thought of that.

Man, Episode 46 was a lot better than I thought it would be!! Blossom finally uses her bow as a weapon!! My sister Boinkette thought it was the best episode in the series, and I agree with her.

What? I haven't commented here yet? I've been too busy saving all the images from the random gallery... *ahem* This episode taught us two important things: 1. Him is EVIL. (In a good, transsexual kind of way.) 2. Holy shit! Sparkling electric bubbles! Pre~tty~! Seriously though, this episode had it all; Comedy, Action, Drama and Kaoru in a skirt. (The PPGZ uniform doesn't count.) What more could we possibly ask for?

What I liked in the first part was Him drinking wine while he'd sent his parcticles to murder the girls and make it look like an accident. The attempt to kill Miyako made me jump. If I were her I'd adopt that black cat right then.

And lol'd when Kaoru finally snapped: "Ore, ore, ore, ore!" First the powerpuff skirt, then stuck in Miyako's body, then becomes a girly girl for a pair of biceps, now her dad forcing her to wear a skirt.

Well, you could download the episodes, view it, and it space is limited, put it on a disc. They aren't that expensive. Not only do you get to see it in the utmost quality, but you're free to watch it whenever you wish, connected to the internet or not.

I also enjoyed episode 46. Words cannot express my content at the moment. I look forward to the sweepstakes (of course, if I win a DVD and/or soundtrack, I'll have to find someone else who wants it).

In the meantime, I'll take that clock, Blossom's hair is definitely long-o, that creepy thing was actually official? and thanks to whoever made that .gif image, as it is now my temporary avatar.

Wahh, I loved episode 46 too! The part where they smashed Kare's spider creature made me burst into laughter - Buttercup said Currypanman's catchphrase! And seeing that they were fighting Kare who is voiced by the same guy as Baikinman that was just hilarious. xD

Actually, I thought there should have been a bit more action... but I definitely liked the way they had executed it. The girls being struck down first, the need of a surprise attack to get the weapons back, the new hissatsu attack they made up after seeing how Kare used their weapons... If they had just had the girls use their typical attacks and save the day, I would have been seriously disappointed. This, this was exactly what I wanted.

Also, Kare trying to break the girls mentally before getting rid of the Chemical Z was totally in character. (Him whirling around like a tornado also reminded me of No Heart from Care Bears xD) I actually thought that after Chemical Z would've been gone, monsters would have run around Tokyo City and the girls couldn't have turned them back to normal, and they would've had to confront Kare in a huge epic fight in order to bring peace... Well, this wasn't the season finale yet. I'm expecting a greater fight yet to come.

It was hilarious that Kare tortured Kaoru by having her father make her act girly. xD

I just watched episode 46, and I can safely say that was possibly the best thing I've ever seen from the series so far! Makes me want to see the last 6 of the season even more than before!

Ep. 45a: I thought Frog Prince was silly. Predictable, but fun. Prof. U. cracks me up when he gets all paternal over the innocent maidens and insisting on the girls' duty as PPGZ.

Ep. 45b: Sentimental ep. about Sedusa, I call it a winner. Not overly creative again, but awwwwwwwww. Little "paper puppets" animation for Sakurako's thoughts was adorable despite the use of budget-conserving CG. Hooray for a well-placed balloon catcher. Also, I'm hot for teacher now and if anyone can send me an application to Souichirou's university I'd be grateful.
