Haruhi Season 2 - Large Scans to Prove it

Why couldn’t the announcement be made (or leaked) at AX while Minori, Yuko, and Aya were in town out here? — which reminds me, I still have yet to write about my experience last weekend. Anyway, the news comes from the August edition of Newtype magazine and Moonphase. Bear in mind that Clannad hasn’t even begun broadcast yet — so who’s to say when everything will air. However seeing as Clannad should fit in within 26 or so episodes, we can say that the earliest Season 2 may debut may be sometime in Spring 2008.
[EDIT] — There are some reports that now say Clannad may be pushed back until Fall 2008 so Haruhi Season2 can begin broadcast as early as Fall/Winter this year. We’ll keep you posted…
On July 7th, the announcement of the new season will be made formal — including on the official website. Click below for scans — beware they are quite huge:

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya TV Season 2 Trailer

There are currently false reports, sometimes attributed to Anime News Network, that there is a trailer for season 2 of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. There is no such trailer, and no information available about a possible season 2. This hoax maliciously linked to an automated banning script that ANN uses for maintenance purposes, the script has been disabled until it can be retooled so that it can no longer be abused in this manner.
@MadMover: The second season of Haruhi has been long confirmed since the publication of this post, in case you were worried.
