Usually you won’t see domestic trailers on here, but I just couldn’t pass this one up from Bandai Entertainment. (Wonder what they’ll make Patricia sound like…)
Kagami’s first line in the trailer is very shocking, but the voice seems to get better as the trailer goes on. Maybe her voice improves in later episodes, or the actress finds a feel for her tsundere tendencies and different exasperated expressions at Konata.
At least her name is pronounced right. Somehow English speakers can’t get over that the ‘tsuka’ in Tsukasa is one syllable, despite it looking like two.
I’m not a dub fan in general, but I think this isn’t so bad. It will at least bridge the gap and be a gateway for future fans to watch the Japanese version once they get hooked on the English one.
This is better then I expected a dub to be but just like all dubs I won’t watch it.
(By the way Crisu - The “Tsuka” in Tsukasa is 3 syllables but it’s just pronounced quickly and they tend to blend in sound making it almost sounds like S’kasa. Even though it’s quick it’s still 3 seperate syllables.)
It’s okay…but the fandub I saw recently on youtube was better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zU82PR2xlYc personally I give that fandub a hands up better thand the reald Dub thats in that trailer
I agree that that fandub is better than what we got above, but I don’t go to say so far as to kill characters. You can really make that assumption based off a few clips. Which is why I always give everything a chance. Eventually, I’ll like it (if not, appreciate it), and I’ll still have the original to back it up.
Don’t have a problem with any of the voices except for Kagami. Maybe the original was just that great or something, but the English one just sounds horribly bland.
stop acting like f**king retards. as long as they put there original dub its fine. no one forces you to listen to english dub. and yeah, original dub is (almost always) the best. so shud up, go buy that f**king DVDs and support their creators. i will…
Konata’s voice sounds kinda…bland. I dunno, it just doesn’t seem to have much emotion in it. Kagami’s voice was kind of unexpected, but it’s easy to get used to. Other than that, not too bad.
Goodness, why is everyone making such a big deal out of this? It’s just a stupid dub. The DVDs have the subbed version, too, so at least buy it for that.
The voice actors need a little bit of practice, but I’m glad it’s coming. Now to lock in, because otherwise, I won’t be able to find it at Suncoast.
I think it’s hilarious to listen to the legions that predictably are no longer willing to give it a chance based on the first thing they hear. That’s just too bad.
I really don’t like the dub voices, it kinda make them so stupid. Can’t they just leave their original voices alone. LEAVE KONATA ALONNEE…… LOL (I said it like the guy fro youtube.) XDD
Oh my… even if you tell me that this is way better off than many other dubs out there, it’s still a far cry from anything NEAR acceptable…
In addition, I have no idea how they’re going to translate the subtle cultural allusions that are just all over the show… Good luck to them on that. D;

Not that bad I must say… But nothing will beat the original ;D
Oh man, Konata… it’s like they gave the voice acting role to Nancy Cartwright.
Kagami sounds the most awful and thus the dub has already failed.
XD I found this to be hilarious. Must be because I haven’t seen it in so long. But yeah, Kagami is…eh…
Everyone else is fine, but like every show I’ve ever seen, I’ll get used to it.
Miyuki completely fails but who cares about her? Tsukasa is BLEH. Wendee Lee doesn’t have Konata’s feel at all.
But most importantly… WHAT DID THEY DO TO MY KAGAMI?!
Hm, not bad. The dub could’ve been worse. :3

Thank you Bandai. Thank you for… this… this thing.
THANKS.

Gah, I hate myself for watching this.
Bandai, THANKS for killing the characters I love.
This is why I don’t watch dubs.
DUBS
It messed up…what I ment to say is Subs rule over dubs…end of story.

Kagami doesn’t sound tsundere anymore. So this already fails for me.

dub is as a rule worse than the sub, almost every single time. This sucks, if it weren´t for the japanese voices, I would never buy Lucky Star…
I”d buy this just to blow my mind.

ugh. pretty baddd…but still not the worst. kagami sounds so horrible, like bart simpson ;p
wow. that is so bad. there should be laws against dubbing…
Miyuki sounds like she wants to bone anything that moves.
shit sux

Well, yeah, it’s not like they are raising the price to pay for the voice actors.

Most importantly, what will they have done to Misao >:
It failed as soon as they first started talking. Nothing beats the original. Subtitles ftw!
what is this?!
