According to the latest post from Soutahouse, a Disgaea game is heading for the Nintendo DS handheld console…

The new game is entitled, “Disgaea DS: Prince of the Netherworld World and Red Moon.” Weekly Famitsu has confirmed the news.

In an interview by RPGamer with NIS America rep Nao Zook, conducted June of last year, the question came up of a possible DS series, where he gave the answer, “let me just say this… you can look forward to it!” Seems like the straight-answer was true after all.

No word on whether this is merely a port or a new installment in the franchise.
