Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine has confirmed yesterday’s rumored story regarding the relaunch of Peach-Pit’s Rozen Maiden manga…
Last year the original serial run ended abruptly with a deus ex machina due to issues amongst the authors and the editorial team of Gentosha’s Comic BIRZ.

The relaunch will begin in the 20th issue of Young Jump — on sale April 17. The above image displays a message that promises the return of the series in “1,814,400 seconds” (21 days).

Props for using seconds. Is the anime based off the manga? If so, I may watch the anime first before dabbling in this…but do they even have it in English? ^ ^;
Awawawa~ ;___;
So is it a re-make, or a sequel? T___T
( sorry for stupid question xD )
@ Umandsf: The anime is based off the manga, but the stories are quite different. Many scenes came from the manga, but in different order (I think) and split between the first and second seasons. Seven of the eight volumes have been released in English by TokyoPop, with the eighth coming out in May. Heh, I guess we’ll have to wait even longer to get all the volumes after Volume 8.
If you’re asking if the anime is in English, then the answer is “sort of.” lol Geneon USA stopped all R1 distribution, with the final Rozen Maiden release being the first of three volumes of the second season.
@ Holy_Angel: Should be a continuation. Doing a remake would just be ridiculous and totally not cool.
WOW i was hoping for a sequel!! The manga ended with a door literally open to some new development :P
@Umansdf: Manga story is even better than anime one in some aspects. While the events just start and ended quite the same way, it’s how they develop that’s different! Manga’s darker and serious, as the anime is more easygoing on many events.
As an example, the Twin Sisters story is similar, but in the manga Lapislazzuli Stern is bond to an old man who seeks revenge, while in the anime she’s bond to an old man who’s lost his son. In both situations boh the master is suffering and the good dolls trying to save him, takin all the burden and pain on herself. And Jade Stern is trying to save her twin sister no matter what.
Moreover the plot of Traumend differs a lot from the manga, being the enemies different dolls in the first place
I don’t know how much i can say more not to make spoilers ^^
Excuse me, but is this really a continuation of Rozen Maiden????
@lost-kaineru:
All signs point to yes. Continuing with new content is almost guaranteed as the series had already “ended”.
Peach-Pit was doing too many thing well with Rozen Maiden for it to have the “lol that’s it guys” ending that it did. I knew that couldn’t have been the end of it.
Why is everybody talking about the anime while the poster wrote the relaunch would be for the manga?
This makes me feel very happy. Rozen Maiden has so much potential and it also hit 9th place in the rankings. out of all the anime in the world, i would say this may turn into a good running
series. this is only my own speculation especially after learning that they made their own series of Dollfie dolls based on each Rozen Maiden except Kirakishou and the “false” Maiden Barasuishou.
I’m so glad they continued something. The anime was a huge cliffhanger and now I really need to know what happens next. Thanks for the info. Yet I wonder who would be willingy to do scans and translations for this?
uhhhh… does anyone know where i can read volume six online? >
um how much of this series has been released and were can i download it?
I’m so glad that they decided to restart it. ._. I really, really hope that Tokyopop or someone will pick it up shortly so that I can start reading it. . .Tracking down translations, let alone scanlations, has been next to impossible.
ughs
where can i find the tales in english
and online?
=.=”
i can only find tale 1 in english =/
@bla.xx
i’ve been searching for all the chapters and realized that one site has up to the 2nd chapter in the 2nd manga series.
visit mangatraders, but you’ll have to make an account there to be able to download them.
