Last week, the Spanish Vlog side of MobuzzTV briefly introduced Vocaloid idol sensation Hatsune Miku on the program Dosis Diaria. The segment led to some controversy regarding the image of a semi-nude Hatsune Miku used on the show…

The video, uploaded on Nico Nico Douga, was filled with comments directed at the fanart background of Miku wearing flesh-colored underwear. Interesting enough host, Iria Gallardo, made no mention why Dosis Diaria chose to publicly use such an inappropriate image of the virtual idol. However, seeing as how the average Nico Nico Douga user may not be familiar with the language, one could only assume that the host may have also been making strange comments about Miku. In addition, many of those who first reported the story believed the program was being shown on Spanish television. This of course was not true. Umandsf was kind enough to give us a close translation of the program itself, shown below:

“Miku Hatsune is currently the top idol in Japan. But no, she is not a person. It is a generator of virtual themes that you only have to manipulate some parts [confused a bit here] to create any musical theme in her unique tone of voice. Of course, her name literally means “first tone of the future”. Here are a couple of examples of her abilities.”

Is she or is she not the sweetest?”

A follow-up Vlog was posted this week answering to the controversy the show started with the Japanese otaku audience. The same host talked about the differences in culture, how the imagery used was fanart and not official artwork, and how they mispronounced Miku Hatsune’s own name. The segment ended with Iria blowing kisses and apologizing to all who may have been offended:
