   The movie sounds nice, but it’s the downloadable Shaymin and Regigigas I’m looking forward to.

   As far as the number of Pokemon films I’ve seen… All of them. My current favorite is the 10th, followed by the 8th.

   @ Maou Ashura:
   With millions of players around the world buying the games and watching the anime (Movie 10 was the #1 animated film in Japanese theaters last year), do you really think either Nintendo or Game Freak has any reason to change? With the aforementioned parties making huge bucks every year, would they end this series because some guy on a random blog thinks they should? Because someone is annoyed at the existence of something that no one else has any problem ignoring?

   Pokemon is not ending. Cope.

   Oh god…. Look, I’m just saying It’s passed it’s prime. Looking back at it from the beginning, I think I lost count as to how many of these little buggers are around now. I KNOW it’s not going to end. It’s like a friend of mine said, you got all these uberly powerful new pokemon like palkia and such running around, but when it comes right to it, old school pokemon like Mewtwo or mew would god smack these poke noobs right back to whatever tile crack or sewer lid they came from. Point blank this series has gone passed the point of ?????. So what if I think it should end, honestly it should it’s only for this new generation in my opinon. if you want to continue following the series then by all means go for it, you have a hell of alot of great devotion ( and the patience of a frickkin’ saint) to do so. Me? I’ll stick around for the lulz that ends up coming out of this “cash cow”. Oh and just so you know, Digimon’s better.

    It’s “passed it’s prime”, or it “needs to end already”? Which is it? I’ve been in enough nerd battles to know when someone is trying to change their own conditions for victory, and that won’t work here.

    Seriously, there’s no need to post in a Pokemon blog that “This series just needs to end already”. Anyone else replying would be a fan, and thus they would exist as proof that your sentiments are incorrect. Also, anyone who is not a fan would find it easy enough to just ignore said blog, and spend their time somewhere else. You won’t be able to convince anyone here that they are not having fun.

    Because of your sentiments, I’m turning on my copy of Pokemon Diamond and am now going for 100 consecutive wins in the Battle Tower. Way to add fuel to the fire.

    Digimon? That name brings back some memories. Among all derivative works, that one was perhaps my favorite. What is Digimon up to these days?

    True enough raichu, true enough. I’ll give you that. However a true fan would also choose to ignore said blog, but that’s just me. I have ignored pokemon since the new series with Dawn (hikari) began, but when it’s constantly thrown in me face, I just had to vent. Not the right place to do it, but when has that ever been a factor to me? It may have been tackless, but it’s from the heart.

    I’ll simply break it down for you. The game series itself isn’t what has gotten me fed up . It was initially a game first was it not? In all honesty, the anime itself is what I’m lookin at like WTF. It’s like the new Dragonball Z, just not ending. Long series tend to suck after a while no matter what it is. Very few animes ( or anything else) can pull that off with the niceness. But hey, like you said, they’re make money off it so why would it stop just for little ol’ me, eh?

    Digimon tried making a come with digimon data squad, but was soooooo fail. Classics baby, it’s all about the classics, season 1-4. Like I said before, if you want continue following the series then do it. I could tell you a million reason not to, but would you stop on my behalf? Would you stop doing something you teasure?

    As a fellow anime/game fan myself, I will give you credit for showing such dedication towards your said series, I suppose it makes you a better person in some way……. But I will never understand what it is that still draws you to it. I think the only okay pokemon from the later generation to come out was Lucario and that’s a stretch. Glad I got that out of me system. Anyway, it may not have been my place to have said what I said, but I did and have no regrets in saying it. If you think pokemon can still continue to stand the test of time, that’s all you.

    Oh…… Sorry, but I can’t leave without being a jerk on one particular thing……. What the hell lame kind of legendary pokemon is Shaymin!? It looks like Sonic’s frickkin’ 3rd cousin twice removed or something!!! Epic Fail!!! An Exodus of Fail!!!!

    Shaymin = I don’t care except to complete my pokedex, and for the challenge of getting a rare pokemon. Darkrai is better. Of all event pokemon ever, Shaymin is least desirable.

    But my love for Pokemon comes from several factors. First, the characters. Official art, not so much. But finding fanart on places like Pokesho is worthwhile. Also, the fans make it great. As long as there is so many, I’ve got a lot to people to overcome. This is especially true now that the game is Wi-fi compatible. I don’t mind so much that the game hasn’t changed much as far as the formula goes, but the formula is what you expect when you buy a game from the same series. It’s what makes a Mega Man game a Mega Man game, and Zelda games are Zelda games. That being the case, I can forgive a game having a similar play style from one installment to the next. I don’t understand the double-standard that’s applied to Pokemon, like they’ve got to be something radically different each time a game comes out. Anyone who doesn’t want another of the same game can buy one game in each generation. But as far as any game’s formula goes, if it’s not broke, there’s no reason to fix it. As a game, Diamond and Pearl are complete, I can’t think of a significant way to improve it. I’d like to know what they have in mind for the next installment, though.

    I don’t care for Shaymin that much, but I can’t let disrespect for Dawn slide. She has to be the cutest girl on the show since Misty herself. May I’ve already mostly forgotten about, since she was little more than a pair of bewbs.

    But overall, I’d like to observe that I don’t go to Madden forums and openly state that each installment of the game is the same every year save for updated rosters and new packaging, and therefore needs to end. Nor do I pick on stealth game fans for having a fascination with waiting for spotlights to go away, nor do I berate every Zelda game for being a bunch of fetch-quests and heart-container-hunts, saying that they need to likewise end. This is because I don’t have to compensate for a career in mixing cement after spending years in school playing sports instead of learning skills (which is not to say you do, but I’m saying, I’m not one of those people).

    I actually just got a copy of Digimon World Dusk, and I’ll tear it open when I have enough free time to play some games.

    True, True. I guess if you got a set formula that works why change it. Megaman’s dead to me though, It’s like after the whole megaman zero series, the whole thing kinda went titantic on me. Darkrai? I haven’t seen him in action so I can’t say much about him. He at the very least looks better then sonic 3rd cousin Shaymin and what not.
    Now I wasn’t disrespecting Dawn in any sort of fashion. As far as character personality goes, it’s nothing I haven’t seen before. You know, young ambitious girl going out into the world to fulfill her dream, nothing wrong with that. But come on, May was more than just a pair of boobs. Classic reluctant hero with a kind heart( with boobs) and possibly had the hots for Ash. That movie with the Manaphy is a prime example of her warmth and tenderness, showing her talents for motherhood. Don’t misunderstand though, I’m only defending the parts I liked about pokemon before it got to the point it’s at now, what with the poke gods Palkia, Dialga and the one who gave birth to the 2 (I did research, I had to understand what I was looking at here before I said anything).

    One who distorts time and the other who distorts space, ain’t that just a tad bit much? Just who are they planning to face that they need so much power? Galactus from marvel? Onslaught?…… Frickkin Baal or Zeta from the nippon ichi series? Then you got that ghost dragon in the up and coming movie who looks like a cicada larva. I still haven’t seen the 10th movie so I’ll check it out and wait for this next one just to humor myself. In all honest only 3 movies were bad to me. The jiraichi movie, the celebi movie, and the deoxys movie.
    The jiraichi movie because it made me want to watch the carebears(don’t ask why I don’t understand it either). The celebi movie ’cause it was like watching another episode of captain planet. And the Deoxys movie…. the deoxys movie….. Deoxys on it’s own is fail. That thing was like an evil STD or the common cold with a brain, not to mention it also had a slight resemblance to the”greys”, I hate those bastards *shudders*. If any of the following were your favorite movies, that’s you, I personally was left with a bad taste in my mouth after seeing them. I guess I’m tired of seeing all these goody tooshoes pokemon, I wanna see a truely, 100% evil, montrous pokemon set out to wipe out humanity or something (mewtwo doesn’t count) But I guess that’s far too much to ask……

    @knackback: Oh wow. You come to my blog to call me a “jerk” because I didn’t credit that German pokemon site? First off I didn’t get the story originally from there. Second, I have credited filb.de before — feel free to check yourself. Maybe you’re right, I should’ve gave them credit for the pictures, which I could’ve easily stuck the actor’s face with the corresponding character myself. In that case it was an honest mistake. However you felt the need to call me a “jerk,” as if I’ve never linked back to them before. Take a look around, I’m always giving credit where credit is due. I’ve ran this blog for over 3 years, so I do have some experience as to how to properly report a story.

    Oh and I’ve updated the top post. With credit going to you of course <3
