Rockman Perfect Memories has provided scans from Nintendo Power of the upcoming Megaman 9 WiiWare title. Names of the new bosses can be found after the jump…
Robot Masters:
It’s been over a decade since the release of the last game in the original blue bomber series. During the absence, the franchise would continuously put out spin-offs such as Battle Network and Star Force, leaving fans of the classic series either in the dark or having to adapt to the new gameplay. But now thanks to development team Inti Creates (Mega Man Zero), we can once again enjoy the old retro-style gameplay we’ve come to love growing up.

I have not played a game in so many, many years. It’s a great day to own a Wii (wish I still had my Nintendo Power subscription).
Holy crap. Completely unexpected. I thought for sure it would be polygonal like Powered Up or whatever that PSP game was.
This is freaking awesome!!!
I can’t wait for more details including the release date so that we could download it to my Wii =3
I’ve been wondering why there wasn’t any Megaman stuff in the Wii Virtual Console… bet they were saving it for this. :)
Wait? so are those the graphics? or they’re recapping the old series?
It is a real shame they are not using the Megaman X8 engine or the Megaman Powered Up engine to render this game. It’d make it look and run a heckuvalot better.
This looks like a cheap way to capitalize on Rom haxx0ring.
From the articles on the other sites, it sounds like it’s written for the Original NES, and is sellable as a download because the Wii can emulate one. :) There’s several NES games that are quite entertaining even today (I have several downloaded on my Wii that my 6 and 9 year old kids enjoy the heck out of despite the ancient looking graphics), so if the game play is good, the graphics probably don’t matter so much. :)
Mega Man 9 being on Wii is very awesome. I think that the old school NES style look is great.
LOL!! I’ll Like to try it !!!
