Soulcalibur IV - New Character from My-HiME Designer

Another new female character has been added to the Soulcalibur IV roster. This time it’s from My-HiME character designer Hisayuki Hirokazu…
Her name is Kamikirimusi. She’s a young girl who wields a long mace-like weapon, all while dressed in a short kimono and bandages. Kamikirimusi joins the list of other guest-designed femme beauties; such as Angol Fear (Yoshizaki Mine — Keroro Gunsou), Ashlotte (Oh! great — Tenjho Tenge), Scheherazade (Izubuchi Yutaka — RahXephon), and Shura (Hiroya Oku — GANTZ).

I still need to reserve this game
Soul Calibur is turning into Brawl for character designers. Maybe we’ll even see some Queen’s Blade characters eventually.
These new characters are fun and all, but how far ahead are the developers of this game thinking? While large roster of characters usually provides lots of playing to those who’re playing the game alone it also could mean that the versus gameplay won’t be very balanced. Since SC3 had lots of issues, I would’ve wished to see them fixed, but now I fear the same problems are still going to be there with new issues brought about by all these new characters.
I believe SC4 is going to be a great fighting game for those who don’t mind playing their games alone, but I seriously doubt it’s going to be very interesting as a versus game. However that’s just my competitive nature’s fault. Namco already has Tekken that’s meant for competitive gaming so there’s no really need to take Soulcalibur towards that direction. It’s aimed for casual players and if it’s a bit like SC3 and SC2 it’s going to be one damn good casual game. Too bad that’s just not the kind of game I want.
The game is getting a bit crowded but with these “guest design” characters adds more “cool” factor to the game ^____^

kamikirimushi is a funny name :)
depending on the kanji, can be translated into different things that make more or less sense.
for example: 紙切虫 = letter opener insect
kamikiri could also mean haircutting.
according to the japanese writing in the article, it’s supposed to be godslaughterer. the 蝕 at the end means eclipse. dunno how that fits in.
I want some “Claymore” characters in this game !
