「Nanoha The MOVIE 1st」 – Announced

According to Moonphase Diary, a Nanoha theatrical film, entitled “Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha – The MOVIE 1st,” is set to release this winter. As described in the article, it is a parallel “non-canon” story featuring new designs, settings, and interpretation of Nanoha and Fate’s first meeting — rivals once again. The announcement comes from the September issue of Megami magazine…
Also announced is a new 2-hour drama CD set three years after StrikerS — available at Comiket 74 next month.

So aside from all the Nanoha crap, was there anything special about the 100th issue of Megami? They rocked their 50th issue out, & I was hoping they’d go even bigger for their 100th. But if the only thing was Nanoha… lame. =\
The issue would probably have other subjects instead just Nanoha, but posting underneath “Nanoha the Movie”, you obvious only find Nanoha content. Kinda strange searching news posts having ‘Nanoha’ in title if you dislike it. Well, we do find pro xbox360 at nintendo sites, so it’s not all too strange, however … >.>
I’m subscribed to Moetron’s RSS feed, & I am still a general anime fan regardless of the title. =b Since I keep my own anime blog I gotta keep up with the news.

YES. this is what they should have done to begin with. StrikerS was so fail I guess they wanted to return to the original loli formula and try to repair the damage done by the former.
if this movie ends up creating an alternate universe, even better. :D
strikers wasn’t a failer and it was no ‘damage done’ eather, it was a great series and i think to many people criticise it it and i think more people loved it then hated it, and you have to remember it was a girls anime i think some guys were expecting something more violent. Stop picking on nanoha strikers! Eather way i cnt wait for the movie! ^_^
StrikerS was awesome. You guys just hate it since they grew up and your loli desires weren’t satisfied.
I’ll join in on the StrikerS support! For me, this was the series that encouraged me to watch Nanoha in the first place. The first season just had too much of a magical girl feel for me to really like it (that, and it was sloooow) the second season was rapid paced and awesome, and the third season, while it had its flaws, certainly stands out as my favourite of the three. Erio and Caro were somewhat… lacking, but Teana and Subaru were great characters. Teana especially.

The loli things are awesome. I understand they always want to put some loli types, For God Sake, who are the audience they are targeting!!!!!!!??? I’m a huge of fan magical girls. i was a huge, huge since i was a little kid (boy). now i’m just liking it out of respect (of the great memories when i was little).
But really, who are they targeting!?!? -_- I don’t think the nudity of a third grader was that healthy.
yes, when i was watching the very first episode, i learned that she was in third grade, and her boobs were like huge (for little girls, of course).
she’s in third grade, so, she’s like what? 8 years old?? 7 if like some kids now going to first grade when they are five. So again, MY GOOD GOD!!! Just who are they targeting??!!?? She the 3rd grader is almost nudity stuff that a 18 year old would be jealous.
They are either targeting the people in their 90s (like the kind of people who can’t use their eyes properly) or the over developed grade school kids (i mean, the kind the really, so, xtremely overly developed!!!!!!!!!)

@eternal blaze, it’s not released yet. It’s planned in 2009, but there is no specific date set. You may use a wishlist website, alike anidb wishlist. Subscribe yourselves or add it to the wishlist to get notified once the release details are known. There are a lot of these sites.. so if you don’t like anidb just search for wishlist anime…
I’m strangely attached to the series, not expecting much from this movie but I know I’m going to end up loving it.

The general consensus among Nanoha fans (and a number of other people that don’t instantly asume anything that’s cute and girly is for girls, a common mistake, but a poor one to make these days) Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha is a Seinen anime. Which is an older male audence (official 18 and up, but it can probably go from 15 years upwards).
The story I heard is that someone decided that since Mahou Shoujo anime seem to generate such a large older male audience in addition to the intended younger female audence, they’d make a Mahou Shoujo series targeted specificaly at a Seinen audience. This is probably further confirmed by the fact the series is derived from a pornographic OVA (although Nanoha was only a minor characture in this series, it focused on the rest of her family).
The end result is the awesome cute outfits/transformation scenes of Mahou Shoujo mixed with the fanservice and more epic story of a Seinen makes for double awesomeness.

Its weird how they are releasing a lyrical nanoha movie when the season of Nanoha strikers finished (going back in time movie). hmm..

Uhmm… I don't know if is this the answer you want (I'm Italian, so maybe I could have mistaken your question)… But, if is this: I will be 18 years old in some months, I'm a girl and I like Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha (I saw season 1 and 2, not the third), so I'm between the people watching this anime. I also love Mahou Shoujo series like you. I don't care about the target of a anime or manga, since I love them even if they could be a target like 9-12 or similar…
