New Fullmetal Alchemist Series Confirmed

According to Moonphase Diary, a new 「Fullmetal Alchemist」 series has been confirmed. As you may recall, this information was originally leaked out when a list of animators from Bones was made available over the net — however back then it was simply just seen as a rumor…
A formal announcement will be made on the obi strip included on the 20th volume of the manga — on sale 08/22. The new series is reported to be a remake that will follow closely to the original manga. Broadcast is rumored to begin in April of 2009.

seriously the first series was better than the manga.
yes, the first series was better than the origonal manga and I was hoping for sequel series too it.
And also is it confirmed that it will be a manga remake version or are people jst assuming this because Al is in the armor again, and if you are then remember how the movie started.
