Here’s another review for you to read.

One Piece 376

Episode Description: Zoro beings to attacks Kuma, whom reveals that he had eaten the ‘Nikyu Nikyu fruit’, and shows his ability to repel attacks using air at the speed of light. Zoro is already at a disadvantage having several wounds. Sanji and Usopp’s attempts to help him remain futile by Kuma’s steel-like body and ability to block projectiles. Kuma then offers to spare the survivors of Thriller Bark if they turn over Luffy, but they, like they should, refused. He then detonates a paw print ball type of thing that’s full of compressed air, demolishing the entire ship.

Good Points: Yet again, great faces pulled by Chopper, and we finally know the workings of Kuma’s paw.

Bad Points: the Straw Hats are definitely at a disadvantage here, I want them to win already so we can see what happens with brook and the Straw Hats.

Overall Review: Mainly a fighting episode featuring Zoro and Sanji. They both get knocked down easily, but what else would you expect if you’re badly wounded and you’re up against a Shichibukai? Also, in the screenshots below, why do Kuma’s paws look like giant hands with overgrown blisters? They kinda make me shiver when I think about how the texture of those paws are like. Gross. Kuma’s paws create paw prints when you get hit by it, as shown below with Franky. There’s not much intelligent camera angles since we all know that Kuma is the strongest presently, so there really isn’t much point of high angled shots. The seiyū are as great as always, especially Ikue Otani (Chopper) who keeps up with that great voice. The next episode preview looks pretty good, with plenty of action with Zoro, but will he win?

One piece 377

Episode Description: While everyone else on the island is knocked unconscious from the bomb, Zoro slashes Kuma with Shishi Sonson, he discovers the truth that Kuma is a Pacifista, a cyborg whose body is harder than steel. Seeing that he can no longer fight, Zoro offers his life to save Luffy, saying that he cannot hope to become the world’s best swordsman if he cannot protect his captain. Sanji attempts to take Zoro’s place, but Zoro knocks him out. As part of his agreement with Kuma, Zoro takes in all of Luffy’s pain and fatigue, which Kuma states that it would kill him if he suffered it on top of his severe wounds. Zoro takes in the pain, and Kuma leaves, quoting that Luffy has a loyal crew. Luffy regains consciousness, surprisingly energetic, while Zoro emerges from looking at death in the eyes.

Good Points: Kuma leaves! I didn’t expect that at all. So looking at the end previews, it looks like we’re going back to talking about Laboon~!!

Bad Points: They spend way too long with the introduction at the beginning, it’s not like we’re going to start watching One Piece at episode 377, so really, we don’t need to know what Gol D. Roger did.

Overall Review: A Zoro episode here, with his brave and ‘manliness’ towards protecting Luffy, How adorable. But he’s not adorable when you see disturbing scenes of him suffering Luffy’s pain. Kuma’s a Cyborg…. WTF. I thought he was some kind of dog at first but noooo, he’s a dodgy fat man who stated that he was created by ‘Vegapunk‘ whom had the knowledge of 500 years into the future, pure arrogance. But otherwise, we have a sweet episode here.
