Tomino Yoshiyuki had recently attended a conference at the Cartoons on the Bay convention held in Italy. It was there where both him and Sunrise’s CEO confirmed a 「Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn」 animated film adaptation. It is slated to premiere 2010.

A formal announcement will be made on the series novel.

[UPDATE 04.21.2009] – A formal announcement has been made. However, the wraparound jacket band found on the Gundam novel only states that a 「Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn」 anime is coming Winter 2009. It does not specify whether this is for the recently announced Unicorn movie. This also contradicts the 2010 film date announced in Italy. Could a possible TV or OVA Unicorn series be in the works as well? Or is this simply a change in schedule for the film?
