Newly leaked scans of next month’s issue of CoroCoro magazine covers the recently announced 「Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver」 DS remakes. As you can see, Sugimori Ken’s artwork has been updated for most of the game. Also pictured is Sprout Tower, Slowpoke Well, Celebi’s shrine, and the Pikachu-colored Event Pichu from the 12th Movie — when transferred it apparently activates an event in Ilex Forest. But what is more surprising is the new fresh face of Gold and Silver. Instead of possibly redesigning Crystal female counterpart Kris, the producers felt it would be best to introduce a new girl — who has yet to be officially named “Soul.” More details are expected to be announced in the weeks to come. No official release date has been scheduled at this time.
