第07話 「クリスマス！」

*The rundown:

  • Show starts off with a flashback of loli Yui and Ui decorating their Christmas tree. Ui wished for a “White Christmas.”
  • Yui tries to make her wish come true with the help of a pillow.
  • Sisterly love~ The relationship between Yui and Ui is just too sweet.
  • Ritsu announces a Christmas assembly that’s to take place at Mugi’s house. Entrance fee: 1000 yen.
  • Unfortunately, Tsumugi’s place has a packed schedule where normally one would make reservations in a month’s advance.
  • Mio or Ritsu’s place are another option; but the two claim the other have messy homes.
  • Yui’s place would be the best option since her parents are always out of town traveling.
  • The girls are next seen going out shopping for presents — Yui always picks out the cutest things.
  • The group arrives and are greeted by Ui. They are amazed by her cooking skills.
  • Trouble lurks; Sawako appears out of nowhere and the background music changes to reflect her presence.
  • It is assumed by Yui that Sawako would be spending time with a boyfriend. Not good. As punishment, Yui must wear a sexy Santa outfit. However Yui doesn’t seem so shy to wear it. Sawako’s eyes focuses on Mio next.
  • As Nodoka arrives at the door, she finds Sawako undressing Mio.
  • The presents are exchanged and Sawako receives a hit in the face from a toy duck. She’s completely absorbed in the spirit of the holidays.
  • Small talent show is performed; includes air guitar, air drumming, and a maple leaf.
  • Fast forward. Yui spent her New Years laying around at home spending her days in a kotatsu — seriously love this girl.
  • Yui mentions she doesn’t gain weight. Mio and Tsumugi fear they’ve put on quite a bit.
  • K-ON are off to their first shrine visit of the New Year.
  • Ritsu wants the group to pray for the light music club’s success after hearing what they actually wished for; to lose weight, to eat more of Mugi’s delicious cakes.

Another fine and satisfying episode. But of course, I speak as a Yui fan when I say that. Next up, are we to expect Azusa’s anime debut in the series? Looks to be. Can’t wait!
