The following is a trailer for 「TRIGUN THE MOVIE」 (tentatively titled) shown at Anime Expo ’09 in Los Angeles. It is scheduled to premiere Spring 2010.
Wow…that was the most chidish looking presentation to promote something that old.
Honestly it looked and sounded like something 8 year olds watch just because “Its looks so cooool”
At first i found the english funny..but along the way. Let say i wouldn't find myself sitting there. (^_^')

I wouldn't take a PV as any predictor of actual content. The nostalgia factor is a major component of the Trigun Movie but with original animation and story, I don't expect it to be as thrilling as an hour long re-cap episode.

Feels a lot like someone decided to make this simply because it was a “guaranteed win”. That is, the nostalgia should be enough to ensure a profit regardless of quality.

Dude, you missed probably one of the best panels at AX. The Vocaloid panel was insanely awesome. The guy who hosted it, Misaki, came from Japan and presented quite a few videos, and most of them were followed by personalized messages from the creators to the American Vocaloid fans. He had messages from tripshotz, ryo, the creator of popipo, and a bunch of others I forgot the name of. I'll look through my notes and see if I can find a few more. They all said things like, “It's so cool having an audience across the sea in America,” “The community of Vocaloid creators has grown so fast in so short of a time,” and “It would be nice for creators across the sea to join us and create Vocaloid songs and videos, too”, etc. The popipo artist said, “Doesn't my video just SCREAM love for vegetable juice? Of course, I was drinking vegetable juice while I was making it.”
He started off with tripshotz – nebula, then to ryo – black rock shooter (doujin dvd version), koi no sensou (love is war, doujin dvd version), then the animated love is war version. He had lots of original dvds sold at commiket from the respective artists that he showed us, and he also explained the messages and meanings behind the lyrics in many of the videos. For example, nebula is all about astrophysics and stuff.
Then he went into some more sad songs, one was about a world with no life except miku and was animated in 8-bit graphics where miku was trying to water a plant to find life again. There was one that was animated with luka, but sung by miku, about a husband and wife and how the husband has to go to war and the feelings of the wife who was left behind. There was one about a mechanical doll that was in a “Scallion Circus.” He also played meltdown.
Then, he said, “Let's play some more happy songs!” and started with popipo, which got the crowd very excited and happy. There was one where miku is a tour guide and she led the viewer in a tour of tokyo, from shibuya to tokyo tower, using around 2000 real life photos taken by the artist from about 6:30am to noon, and rin, luka, and ren join for a little bit along the way.
The last video he played was ould lang syne sung by luka. I think he really should have played sakura no ame, but w/e.
He mentioned that rin and ren are NOT twins/siblings, they are mirror reflections of each other, and therefore any storyline in which they are married or otherwise have a relationship is NOT incest, to which the translator commented, “So…, it's kinda more like masturbation…”
This is most of them, probably not in order, and I think I forgot some.

Wow, seems like I missed a lot. Thanks for the full report.
Btw, I'm glad to hear the Len/Rin sibling confusion was explained. Now if they can just do that for BRS and how she's not Miku.

Oh, of course BRS is not Miku. Misaki did mention that. What I don't think he mentioned was that BRS was created by an independent artist who then asked ryo to compose a song for her. The character came first, then the song. Of course, BRS can be said to be related or somewhat based on Miku in terms of design.
