Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #94

Well it certainly has been awhile since I last posted the Vocaloid rankings on here. But now is a good time to start again with GUMI now joining the family. A few weeks back, her debut allowed her to completely dominate the countdown. However much like Luka, it didn’t last long.

Let’s see, there’s the Project DIVA PSP title that came out just recently. How are you all enjoying that? Actually I know a few friends who aren’t really hardcore fans but are loving every minute of the game. So definitely try it out if you haven’t already.

As for the present status of the Moetron-Subs group, we’re still together. Although a few of us had to concentrate on real life issues and simply didn’t have the free-time we once had to work on any projects. However, we’ll be releasing something soon. No worries.

Another question I get a lot is the status of my Vocaloid reprint Youtube channel “pKjd3.” Well apparently I was receiving a lot of warnings regarding MikuMikuDance related videos. For example, the “Virtual Insanity” MMD parody with Miku. Originally it was released on Nico Nico Douga using the actual song from artist Jamiroquai. That didn’t sit well with his record company. Also a Yowane Haku MMD parody of Britney Spears’ “Toxic” was uploaded on my account, but was quickly taken off because it was deemed “inappropriate” for viewers and violated YouTube’s TOS. Well I guess I can understand that one. However, there was one MMD PV in particular that I still question to this day. How is it that I get penalized for uploading this “Night of Fire” MMD video yet it is still up on Youtube on other accounts. Very strange. It was after that where I decided to retire my account and begin a new one — “pKjd5.” But even with this new one on hand, I do plan to bring the old “pKjd3″ account back out of retirement in the near future. Only this time I’ll be sure not to include any MMDs or vids using Top 40 music. Just to play it safe.

Anyway, onto this week’s Vocaloid ranking countdown #94. Yunomi-P’s 「Just Be Friends」 is still enjoying much success as the next major hit song from Megurine Luka. There’s actually many great works out today from various artists that made it on here. However as a personal favorite, I would have to go with this week’s ending theme — devilish5150’s 「final letter」 by megpoid. Maybe I haven’t made this clear yet but I absolutely love GUMI. Sasakure-P’s 「Our 16bit War」 is nice too, but that one I mentioned I could just listen to all day.
