According to the October issue of Nakayoshi, a third season of Shugo Chara, entitled 「Shugo Chara Party!」, will begin October 3rd. The scan below comes from the 103rd volume of Tora Dayo.
[UPDATE 08.26.09] – Now it turns out that the new 「Shugo Chara Party!」 series will be part anime, entitled 「Shugo Chara!!! Dokki Doki」, and part live-action. A short Shugo Chara spin-off called 「Shugo Chara Pucchi Puchi!」 will also debut.

I like SC! and all, but this really only means more filler, you know? So I can't say I'm too excited.
What?? Another season?? Why don't they want this to finish in a normal manner?? This has a a nice and sweet plot summary but it could've been better if they end it now with just less than 30 episodes at the same time, make it fast-paced, making it not neccessary for fillers. Anyway, with that picture, I am guessing this sequel is no longer drawn by Peach-pit(?)
I hope Kairi is back in this season T.T I'm sorry but he's my favorite character. Even so, if he's not in it I'm still hungry for the next season (more rimahiko hopefully!), they need to broadcast it right after episode 102!!!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm grateful for them turning Shugo Chara into an anime. So I'll just go with the flow… (Totally Psyched)^_^
I love the anime because there's more feeling to it and I love the songs (most of them). But, I agree with everyone who says that they should stick to the plot and stop with the fillers. I guess I have mixed feelings about it…

That's obviously hard because there's almost no manga to follow. The chapters they didn't cover can be done in 5 episodes or so, so it's obvious they're gonna create an anime-only arc.
I'm very happy with this. I loved Doki! and I hope the new character is as great as Lulu.

I really cant whait!!!!! but really is anoyng that some people start to be angry at the anime because is more tadamu scenes, im a amuto fan but really is that hard to accept it and if the anime follows only the manga I think it will be a little boring because it will be repeting the same so Im really happy with the ANIME!!!
Amu -chan is in love with Ikuto deep in her heart but she doesn't want to say it or admit. I believe she's doing that so she won't hurt Tadase. That's what I think so and what I get from reading the manga. But WTF!!!! JUST FORGET ABOUT TADASE!!!! IKUTO is the perfect man for Amu-chan. He's so damn SEXY and HOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!! IKUTOOOOO!!!!!

Yeah I believe that so. There was times that Ikuto had to show up for some episodes so it will be the same again. I believe those two will finaly end up together. Amu-chan is so damn stubborn that although she knows that she loves him she doesn't admit it to herself. And yeah I agree with you also lalala. I want to see Kukai and Utau together but I'd like to see Rima and Nagihiko as a couple too. And for God's sake when will Nagihiko tell Amu that he is Nadeshiko. Well, for the time being, with no chapters left to work with it's normal to be excepted that the next season will have many fillers. So I won't complain that much. I just hope that they don't ruin the story with so many fillers.

Shugo Chara Party! is actually following the manga storyline because there is still more of the manga to go so obviously once the next manga book is published (chapter 45, 46, 47, 48, 49 etc.) They only add the extra bits that aren't in the storyline to make it last lober and funner to watch also to not actually break the laws of copyrighting. Sorry if I don't make sense.
I haven't watched the full last episode of Shugo Chara Doki! to see if Amu achieves sport, art and cooking or whatever she done to make her Shugo eggs to go back to her heart except Dia's who hatches. You would know what I mean by reading chapter 44.
Consider any misunderstanding, it should probabaly say that even the authors don't have to say it or admit. Also no need of care of this topic since three manga in seriallization of authors PP are all NOT romances but adventures, or it's obvious that the story is to reach dreams instead of dating. It may be supported in unofficial area or would only mislead us to ignore the spirits the authors want to share.
Though AmuTo is a nice couple, but a fly in the ointment Ikuto even never started a friendship with Amu or other guardians nominaly before persuing Amu. A little bad model for children.

Hey! I am sure that Ikuto will be in Shugo Chara Party:) Because in the opening song of Shugo Chara Dokki Doki, they show a picture of him standing next to Amu, right?? And if he is in the opening song, he has to be in the anime! And besides, Ikuto loves Amu so he WILL come back to her:P At least I hope so…:)

I like watched the first 2 episodes of Shugo Chara Party and it was OK. Just OK for now. I just hope there would be more rimahiko and finally Nagihiko would tell amu that he was nagdesho or something! And obviously Ikuto has to come back!!!! The show won't be the same without him. I'm like the only one here who probably feels kinda sorry for tadase. I don't want him to end up with amu but hopefully someone else.
Personally, i liked Tadase, but Ikuto will probably come back again anyway, so why worry? Enjoy the show before it ends and you have to start looking for something else to watch…..
When i watched the first 2 episodes of Shugo Chara Party i almost felt like i was watching a lil kid show. e.o; I agree with Name that ikuto has to come back. And Nagi needs to tell Amu that he was Nadeshiko already. hopefully it will get better. and ikuto will come back soon. :(

you know, I liked the first season. But then Doki came and it was like a season that was actually almost a filler. So lame. And now they come up with an half life-action shugo-chara, half filler shugo chara! I have a feeling that Amuto actually “happening” isn't going to happen in the anime or manga, because of the age difference. Yes, it's strongly hinted in many places, but in a manga and anime meant for kids, the couple probably won't get very far past teasing and confession/realization. Tadamu is able to be supported a bit more (Tadase confessed, he tells her he loves her, and they go on 1-2 dates) because they're the same age.
BTW… don't flame me, because I'm not on Team Tadamu or Team Amuto. I'm neutral! (Is afraid of rabid fangirls) >~<

Finally! A sensible person watching/reading Shugo Chara that isn't a rabid Ikuto fangirl. Maybe all you fangirls should stop screaming about how “hot and sexy” Ikuto is and telling Tadase to die and think seriously about the Amuto vs. Tadamu conflict. I really hate bashing other shippings, but Amuto probably won't happen during the time period the anime and manga are set in. Possibly the future… but for now, stop pushing a 12 year old to go out with someone almost in college!
What they should of done was have like a “Shugo Chara Special!” that wraps up the last few chapters of the manga, instead of making a series filled with fillers. What annoyed me most was every episode only had like 10-15 minutes of ACTUAL ANIME in it.

I have a feeling that Amuto actually “happening” isn't going to happen in the anime or manga, because of the age difference. Yes, it's strongly hinted in many places, but in a manga and anime meant for kids, the couple probably won't get very far past teasing and confession/realization. Tadamu is able to be supported a bit more (Tadase confessed, he tells her he loves her, and they go on 1-2 dates) because they're the same age.
BTW… don't flame me, because I'm not on Team Tadamu or Team Amuto. I'm neutral! (Is afraid of rabid fangirls) >~<

Finally! A sensible person watching/reading Shugo Chara that isn't a rabid Ikuto fangirl. Maybe all you fangirls should stop screaming about how “hot and sexy” Ikuto is and telling Tadase to die and think seriously about the Amuto vs. Tadamu conflict. I really hate bashing other shippings, but Amuto probably won't happen during the time period the anime and manga are set in. Possibly the future… but for now, stop pushing a 12 year old to go out with someone almost in college!
I kind of disagree. If they weren't going to make 'amuto' happen just 'cause its a kids show or whatever and 'cause of their 6 year age difference or whatever then they simply could have just had Amu fall in love with Tadase and they could be together. Why go through all the trouble creating a plot where she falls in love with Ikuto if they're not going to branch out further on that? I'm not saying there has to be sexual scenes between them or anything but yeah.

I’m glad that Tadase-kun likes another girl now. -Cause I’ve been rutting for Ikuto. Now there is one less person in the way. How old is Iktuo compared to Amu? Not too much of a gap I hope?
