Earlier today, the official website to 「iDOLM@STER」 announced a new TV anime project in the works. It will be produced by Aniplex. The story will be based off the original game — not a spin-off like 「iDOLM@STER Xenoglossia」. Additional details are expected to be revealed in the March issue of Megami magazine – on sale January 29th.

The first iDOLM@STER anime series, entitled 「iDOLM@STER Xenoglossia」, began its run on television in April 2007. It consisted of 26 episodes.

The 「iDOLM@STER 2」 game will be released for the Xbox 360 on February 24th.
