Earlier today, the 13th official game in the Touhou doujin series, entitled 「Touhou Shinreibyou ~ Ten Desires」, was announced by developer ZUN. As usual, a demo will be released at the next Reitaisai event, (March 13th). Reimu, Marisa, Sanae, and Youmu are all confirmed to be playable. No word on when the full version will be available.

*Story:

“A multitude of spirits suddenly appear. They are the type known as Divine Spirits. Seeing as how this event cannot be left ignored, the young girl goes out to investigate.”

[UPDATE 03.17.2011] – Due to the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Northern Japan, Reitaisai 8 was canceled. There’s still no word yet on when the demo for Ten Desires will be released. However, ZUN did mention on Twitter that he’s going to attempt to contribute the sales of Ten Desires to relief donations for the victims.

[UPDATE 03.20.2011] – Reitaisai 8 has been rescheduled for May 8th, 2011. The demo for Ten Desires will be out then.
