According to a twitvideo post from lead vocalist Atsuko of the Japanese music group angela, a sequel to the 「Soukyuu no Fafner」 series has been green-lit for production.

The announcement was originally made at the live streaming event, 「Soukyuu Sakusen」, which was for the film, 「Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor – HEAVEN AND EARTH」.

Some unconfirmed reports from 2ch state that the sequel is entitled, Soukyuu no Fafner -EXODUS-; and that it takes place 2 years after the film.

The Blu-ray and DVD for the Heaven and Earth movie will be released September 21st.
