Namco Bandai’s rhythm and simulation game 「Idolmaster 2」 is heading to the Playstation 3 console.

This latest installment in the series will be a direct port of the Xbox 360 version, however, it will include all up-to-date download content. In addition, adjustments have been made to the game balance for new players (Normal difficulty) and those with plenty of experience (Hyper mode).

The game is reported to include the anime’s opening theme 「Ready!!」 .

「Idolmaster 2」 will be released as a stand-alone disc for 7,980 yen (~$100); and be bundled in a Idolmaster Special Box — priced at 19,800 yen (~$250). Contents of the box include:

*Idolmaster Special Box:

  • 「Idolmaster 2」 game for PS3
  • 「Idolmaster Gravure For You!」 game for PS3 — allows player to take gravure shots of their favorite idol
  • 「Idolmaster 2」 anime Volume 1 (Blu-ray)
  • Special Box to hold all volumes of the anime
  • 「Idolmaster 2」 OST

The game will be released in Japan on October 27th.
