According to February issue of Afternoon magazine, a TV anime adaptation of Ueshiba Riichi’s school-romance manga series, ｢Nazo no Kanojo X｣ (Mysterious Girlfriend X), has been green-lit for production.

The manga series currently has 7 volumes to date – with the first volume debuting on August 23rd, 2006. It began serialization in Afternoon magazine in May of the same year.

In addition, the limited edition 8th manga volume will include a drama CD — on sale February 23rd, 2012.

*Synopsis:

One day, a strange transfer student appears before Tsubaki. Urabe Mikoto is an antisocial girl, whose hobby is just sleeping during class-breaks. One day, Tsubaki goes to wake her up and accidentally tastes her drool… And gets hooked on that!

After that, he starts going out with her and gets to know her better. Her second hobby, as it turns out, is carrying around scissors in her panties and cutting paper into flowers…
