According to the official website, a TV anime sequel to Eureka 7, entitled ｢Eureka 7: AO (Astral Ocean)｣ , is slated to premiere in April 2012. BONES will once again take part in the animation production for the project.

In addition, the new TV series will also have a companion manga that will debut in the next issue of Monthly Shounen Ace magazine — on sale January 26.

The original Eureka 7 TV anime series first aired on April 17th, 2005 — consisted of 50 episodes.
