The results are in on these no Saki invited matchups. As foreseen by many, the Kugimiya Rie combo exhibited yesterday paid off indubitably. Lotte was able to get her Rie-venge on Sharo for having eliminated Asuha in Round 1 earlier. She ranked in a total of 259 votes.

Veteran Nagi, who’s been surviving Saimoe trials since 2007, has won yet another race with a total vote count of 265 — that’s 52 more so than Rinne no Lagrange’s Madoka who came in second. Congratulations to both.

For the next set of matches, I believe it will be as clear-cut as it was today. Both Yayoi and Louise should earn their respective wins against the competition they have to face in R2. But I would keep an eye out on Yune. Makoto’s birthday win last time was a treat, but her run may be ending today.
