Winner: Louise.
The first of two Group finals without the presence of the Saki camp took place yesterday. Interesting enough, it was between two players who’ve met each other before in the Group 9 Prelims — Louise had 22 more votes than Hinata then. So who will carry on that energy and support to the next phase of the contest? For Louise, this would mean a 3rd visit to the Quarterfinals. (The last time she came that far was in 2009 where she unfortunately had to lose to Saki’s Nodocchi.) For Hinata, this would be a major triumph for the underdog coming into this matchup. The RKB dark horse would be proud of their petite superstar.
Group Df Results:
Our winning contestant who’s moving on the Best 8 is none other than ZnT’s Louise! She becomes our first non-Saki player to emerge victorious in the Group Finals so far. Today Louise earned herself a vote tally of 293 — around 37 more votes than challenger Hinata. Congrats to the Saimoe vet for making a return appearance!
Next up is Group Ef, where its our third and last Saki versus non-Saki clash of the Block Finals. Strike Witches’ Sanya will have to face off against one of Saki’s heavy hitting SS-tiers; Yuu. Personally don’t see Yuu misfiring here. Good luck to your picks.
