So I decided to have some fun and create a countdown of my own personal favourite anime openings of 2012 — and to also use this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

This Top 25 only includes series/seasons that premiered this passing year. Visual arrangement and creativity did play a determining factor as well. Also the following is in no way influenced by public opinion. Seriously, I doubt several of these entries would even rank so high up on anyone else’s list — you’ll see what I’m talking about later. With that said, hope you enjoy my picks of 2012!

Called number 1, but as I worked down the list I thought I’d actually smash my head if it wasn’t. I wouldn’t have left out Rinne no Lagrange’s first OP, Tsuritama, Jormungand, Symphogear or Sankarea myself :)

Nice list, though I actually haven’t seen/listened to a lot of these OPs since I didn’t watch their respective shows.

I also liked the OPs for Another, Accel World, and SAO. I personally would have placed the Natsuiro Kiseki and K openings high on my list ;) I also liked the OP for Chuunibyou Lite more than the regular TV series opening.

Just wanted to point out a song name mistake #08 Dog Days Dash OP is not Natsu no Yakusoku, it’s FEARLESS HERO is even says so at 0:55 of the video.

holy shit i was nervous JoJo would never make it on the list.

you made the right choice of putting it on top 1 :)

though i now prefer Bloody Stream by Coda in the Battle Tendency arc :)
