According to both Televi and Jump SQ magazine, A-1 Pictures’ 「Fairy Tail」 anime series will end its televised run on March 30th. Toei’s 「Tanken Driland」 anime will take over its timeslot.
The Fairy Tail TV series first began its broadcast on TV Tokyo station on October 12th, 2009.
[UPDATE 03.30.2013] – This week’s episode (#175) of Fairy Tail concluded with the words, “To Be Continued!,” shown at the end. Manga author Mashima Hiro tweeted a few weeks back that the anime series is not over yet and that he hopes fans will watch the rerun broadcast — starting April 4th — until he can announce some positive news.
今週のマガジンにアニメ(終)と書いてあるんだけど、実はまだ終わりじゃないんですよ。これ以上の事は言えないんだけど、4月からの再放送を見ながらよい発表ができる日をまっていてほしいです。
