According to the June issue of Dengeki G’s magazine, the cast of the upcoming 「Love Live! Sunshine!!」 project has been revealed. The story will take place on a small seaside town near Numazu, Shizuoka Perfecture called Uchiura. The main setting is at a local school called Uranohoshi Girls Academy that has less than a 100 students attending.
A fan poll will decide the name of the new nine-member idol unit — much like with µ’s. Voting takes place April 30th to May 11th.

what the fuck where not getting Accel world or
Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere because this bullshit fuck you love live
shut up motherfucker
Fk u Love live is awesome btch
fuck love live you fag
FUCK you this is bullshit
what the hell is love live anyways dancing idol anime get the hell out of here this news is bullshit FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
First off, ima say nice avatar; ridiculously excellent character and show.
When we do get Accel World 2, or Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere 3, that’ll be an excellent announcement, I agree; I personally am looking forward to Accel World coming out, I found it to be much more enjoyable than SAO as well.
However, I am also happy this is coming out; the fact that Love Live is getting a reboot doesn’t mean they chose it instead of Accel World 2 or Horizon 3, it means they didn’t have any intention to release either of those yet in general. Given the reception Horizon received when it aired, I predict it will get a third season soon enough.
Accel World I am not entirely sure, one thing that is nice on that end is that the novel is still ongoing, so if the author, it’s fans and the studio feel like going for it, Accel World 2 will likely come out, especially given the fact that SAO kind of gets a bit weird after the arc that just ended in the anime. Chances are between now and the next season of SAO, Accel World 2 might come out.
Studios tackle multiple projects, just because a certain project was chosen for a certain season does not mean the project you want to continue never will. It’s not Love Live’s fault that Accel World and Horizon are not announced yet, especially given the fact that there was no formal announcement that this was the reason both of those haven’t come out.
I can only think of one time that I was angry about a project being chosen over another, and that was when Gainax formally gave the funding for an anime adaptation of Wakusei no Samidare to Panty and Stocking. Now that is a case of a certain show’s existence being at fault for another never getting an adaptation. That’s a scenario where you can place your blame in a show, not here.
Love Live! getting a reboot has nothing to do with Accel World or Horizon not getting sequels yet short of the fact that they’re both by the same studio. You have to consider the fact that certain shows are also picked up by other studios. Log Horizon for example, it’s first season was produced by Satelight, it’s second was produced by Studio DEEN, that is another possibility for Horizon and Accel World.
It’s mostly creator interest and timing, and Sunrise constantly pumps out new shows all the time. They just finished Cross Ange, 2 Gundam series, 2 movies (1 in production), currently they’re working together with Bandai Namco to release more Gintama and a long running children’s anime. I dare you to blame Gintama for the fact that those shows aren’t airing, you’ll get ripped apart on the internet, lol.
Anyway, I figured I’d shed some light because you seem a bit too angry, and it’s misdirected.
oh well thank you I heard Accel world did great in sells like almost 10k was that wrong and reki said he want to work on Accel world season but sunrise was busy with this that what I bean hearing
and I will most likely try this anime if at less those two anime get news or one of them if its Accel world first then I will 100 percent take back everything I said about this and watch both season I will hold myself to that
Yeah, I’m not 100% sure it’ll happen, but in the end it’s up to the creator, if you start to hear more news about Accel World, I’d say it’s a safe bet to raise your hopes on it. Sadly the system is rather convoluted, I’m really hoping for it, it’d be a welcome addition especially considering SAO is already up to 48 episodes. If the creator expressed interest, they’ll probably go through with it and get it into pre-production, if he expressed that interest recently and there were talks, I’m willing to bet that they’ll start working on it before this even airs, but that’s only if they actually do have the talks, which I really hope they do since Accel World was excellent.
Yeah, it’s more or less about preference at that point, Love Live! is a pretty high quality anime of it’s type, the archetypes of the characters tend to be well-done and a lot of care is taken into making them feel genuine, which is something that is pretty rare in idol anime, and anime in general really heh.
It’s not for everyone, that’s for sure; but for what it is, it is quite high tier. All in all, I think it’s best that everyone gets what they want, and given that Sunrise doesn’t seem to be slowing down it’s train of releases anytime soon, I’m betting it’s safe to say we will sooner or later, haha.
well he said this http://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/29y8mj/my_summary_of_kawahara_reki_sao_panel_at_ax/ I hope it means something
That’s an incredibly good sign, awesome!
Considering the interview was 9 months ago, it’s no wonder they were busy. They had a lot to prepare for, including a high-level Gundam anime, first one made by the original creator since 1999. It’s also good that he is open to considering other studios, considering he’s already got some of the framework for Alicization set up (including VAs which is incredible), Reki seems a lot more down to earth than I expected him to.
But yeah, considering the resounding success of his work; I have zero doubt that we’ll see something new from him by 2017, possibly even next year. Sunrise actually seems like they’ll have some open slots soon, they aren’t releasing anything this Summer, and so far nothing has been confirmed for Fall. We may end up being surprised by the time the year ends with an announcement that either SAO 3 or Accel World 2 are in pre-production.
All in all, a lot of anime to look forward to, which is awesome.
That comment however, the one in that forum post about them being too busy working on Love Live was kind of silly. At the time, Sunshine wasn’t even announced yet and people had assumed the franchise was over short of the movie, so idk what he was talking about, lmao.
if that happens I will 100 percent watch love live both season and take back everything I said and that the truth
Haha, it’s all good; I understand your frustration entirely. I’ve waited for so damn long for a third Index season, there is more than enough material. instead they release two seasons of Railgun and decide “Lets do a different story now.” So annoying, at least the other show looks good.
oh you could be right but that why I got mad because I thought okay we only have the movie left and Accel made an average of about 8,883 ¥ and it gross in ¥1m is ¥541.7 that has to be good right
yeah and I heard the index is insane with its disc sells plus accelerator is my fave character
Yeah, Index is one which deserved it’s popularity yet I have no idea why it never got a third season after all this time. It’s bizarre, lol. It didn’t even have to pull a Haruhi to get axed like that.
Yeah, I can’t see how that wouldn’t be good, haha. Sunrise has got a lot of stuff, I think now that Gundam Build Fighters and G no Reconguista are over, even with Love Live! they’ve got more than enough room at this point for more stuff. Especially since they’re working with Bandai Namco on the big stuff now.
All in all, future is bright. :P
yeah and Accel world had thing with tekken since there is new one coming out not cross promote if this actually happens I will give this show a chance I mean I don,t really hate I was just really mad you know then again if they get studio 6 or 5 I will be happy
Haha yeah, it’s awesome! Tekken is my favorite fighting game series, so seeing them collab with Accel World is pretty excellent.
I can’t blame you for being mad, the release schedule over there is so convoluted, it’s sort of weird considering in most places, if a show airs it will finish airing unless it gets axed. Western TV is sort of like Eastern Manga, if the ratings are good it finishes, lol.
they have before right so I would not see how they could not do it again
I should probably tell you that interview with reki took place the day after the first episode of SAO II sorry if I forgot to say this which was july 6th i think of 2014 so I its guess it was 9 months since that post
