A crossover RPG entitled "Cross Edge" has been announced for the Playstation 3 console. The game is a collaboration of a variety of major names in the genre, including Capcom, Nippon Ichi, Bandai-Namco, Idea Factory, Gust, and leading developer Compile Heart. Scheduled release date: September 08'

Today NIS America announced the US launch date for Disgaea 3 for the Playstation 3 -- August 2008. The latest series installment is said to "make a bold new step towards the next generation console with a whole new cast, story and game system."

What a lot of fans were waiting for. An exhibition video showing off nearly all character final skills. (Beware that the following contains spoilers revealing secret cameo appearances...)

That was too good! Plenty of battle sequences were shown; the brilliance of Wakamoto Norio narrating was present; and the official theme to the Maritsu Evil Academy school was finally heard! ... A bit worried still on how well the game will do being on the PS3 and all. But hopefully this new chapter in the series will be as successful as the previous two.

When the new game was revealed, it was clear that toi8 was on hand for producing all character designs and promotional artwork. YES! Finally got my hands on a copy. This little treasure includes the full version to "Sinful Rose" by YOKO, (the game's main opening theme). Not only that, but it includes remix versions to a few other tracks including both "Dawn Whisper" by Erika and "White Tiger" by Nobuyuki Hiyama.
