According to the official website for Weekly Shounen Jump, Masashi Kishimoto’s long-running manga series, 「Naruto」, will finally reach its conclusion with chapter 699. It will be published in this year’s 50th issue of WSJ magazine — on sale November 10th, 2014. The manga first began serialization in 1999.
According to the April issue of WAaI! magazine, Norio Tsukudani’s 4-panel comedy manga series, 「Himegoto」, will be receiving an anime adaptation. The new project will premiere on the BS11 and Niconico in July.
According to a promotional poster for the 8th volume of the manga, Yu Sasuga’s (author) and Kenichi Tachibana’s (illustrator) sci-fi action series, 「Terra Formars」, will be receiving both a TV anime and OVA adaptation. No additional details are available at this time.
According to the February issue of Monthly Gangan Joker magazine, a TV anime adaptation of Takahiro’s (author) and Tashiro Tetsuya’s (illustrator) action-fantasy manga series, 「Akame ga Kill!」 (アカメが斬る！), has been green-lit for production. Further details will be released at a later date.
According to the March issue of Manga 4-Koma Palette magazine, a TV anime adaptation of Koutarou Kosugi’s four-panel comedy manga series, 「Futsuu no Joshikousei ga [Locodol] Yatte Mita.」 (普通の女子校生が【ろこどる】やってみた。), has been green-lit for production. The new project will air on stations TBS and BS-TBS later this year.
According to the March issue of Afternoon magazine, Kio Shimoku’s slice-of-life comedy manga series, 「Genshiken Nidaime」, (げんしけん 二代目 / The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture II) will be receiving an anime adaptation.
Earlier today on Twitter, 「Kodomo no Jikan」 manga author Watashiya Kaworu revealed that her long-running manga series will be reaching a conclusion very soon. She did confirm that it will not be ending in the January issue of Comic High magazine — hitting store shelves December 22nd.
The June issue of Newtype magazine has revealed both a TV anime and manga adaptation of GREE’s popular social mobile game, 「Tanken Driland」. Toei will be studio behind the anime project. It will premiere July 7th.
